Sucks to be so poor that you need to grind bits for a mere 25 bucks

Yeah, why don't people just buy more money?

Or rather why don’t people just work more ?

Not everyone who has money wastes it. I buy packs, but I also like being frugal. A lot of other people do too. Did you come here just to threadcrap?

''Waste'' so why do you play HS if it's such a waste ? If spending money on the game is a waste to you, you shouldn't care for a card back in the first place.

Point is he says not everyone has that kind of money to spend.. he only has to work 1 or 2 extra hour and that would be enough to buy the bits,  that really shouldn't be an issue.

Seems like you aren't aware that the only way to receive bits from watching ads is if you live in the US.

Of course, you could always use a VPN and stuff… if anyone is so desperate to the point where they'd go that far, so be it.

I’m hoping that the final community reward will be 2 golden packs. That would be pretty awesome.

Are you crazy ? You should be happy if the final reward is 1 golden pack.

To be honest, I've won almost every brawl game so far based purely on the strength of Ice Block alone (Paired with plenty of burn and card draw to replace it every turn).

Was an easy brawl, this one!

Honestly.. I have yet to play a single ranked game this month, still at rank 4 ,0 star, mostly played arena.

But I suppose it would be at least rank 5 but I can hardly call that a goal since it's a total joke and done in a day.

It's funny to me that you are a multiple Legend player according to your post and you have yet to achieve 12 wins arena..

It doesn't matter if you call it a donation, you still have to spend your cash to get the item. You HAVE to purchase bits. In the case that you're only interested in buying bits to buy a specific item with it, it's the equivalent of buying an item at a charity auction, even though technically speaking you are supposed to ''donate'' in charity events, items are deemed as SOLD at the auction, you don't donate for them, which goes against the bullshit you're trying to make me believe.

Now you're gonna tell me''Well but the money you're giving is still a donation'' alright, but it doesn't change the fact that X item selling for X amount of donation is the same fucking thing as selling an item in a store. In the HGG case, people are CLEARLY and undeniably ''DONATING'' in exchange of a virtual item, the card back. No matter how you try to twist it, I view that as buying the card back for 2500 bits, no matter what you say you're not going to change my mind because you are illogical to think otherwise.

Charity Auctions are Auctions... The only difference is the proceedings go to charity rather than the people that donated the items for said Auction... The donations were made in items, those were put up for auction, for sale, and the proceedings are then used for charity.

Maybe I missed something, but I didn't realise there was an Auction taking place in the Twitch Hearthstone Channel. So what are the items listed for sale and who is leading the bidding wars? Who do you think is going to take home the special Card Back, and for how much?

I'm being ironic, there is no Auction taking place, you simply have what you always had, the normal Twitch Bits system being used, this time, as stated previously, donating to this Twitch Channel will get you these free rewards, where as if you do that donation to other Twitch Channels you might get other or no free rewards.

I call it a donation because this is what the Twitch Bit system is, you can look at it as a currency to use in a store, but that is simply factually incorrect, the fact still remains, Twitch Bits are a donation system, whether you like it or not.

It is illogical to think the way you are thinking. You want to look at Twitch Bits as a currency for a store where you want to buy items, you are free to do so, but it is still not the case, it is still a platform Twitch launched for donations, it is still a platform for that, if you look at it as something else other than what it is, you are creating expectations and demands which will not be met.

This is becoming a ridiculous conversation, I've tried to help, it clearly isn't doing much, so I won't bother any further.

What you are saying is perfectly true, however, it doesn’t apply in this context. How can you call that a donation when in this case the donators are clearly expecting something in return ? It’s the equivalent of prostitutes asking for a donation in exchange of sex. Sure they’re calling them donations but the reality is you are paying for sex. I understand that by definition what you are saying is true but sometimes you have to use logic and freaking common sense instead basing everything off their definitions. It doesn’t matter if your definition of the bits/cheering is correct, the reality goes beyond a simple definition and that reality is people are PAYING bits because they want the fucking card back and they don’t give a shit about the teams, how is this hard for you to understand ? People feel like they’re purchasing the card back, EVEN if in reality it’s a ‘’donation’’ even though the entire purpose of that promotion is to make money and make people spend lots of cash.

Except that bits are literally a currency that you need to pay for. You're literally converting your cash into bits.

Having to spend 2500 bits for an item is the equivalent of purchasing it. Doesn't matter if you have to go through some bullshit conversion beforehand.

The card back and packs from HGG aren't ''free rewards'' they are items awarded after you've spent a certain amount of bits.

Look, I understand that you solely look at Bits as necessity to achieve the goal of receiving the free rewards from this current promotion, but that still doesn't remove the fact that this is not what Bits are. Bits are a currency made by Twitch to compete with alternative Donation systems that were used to support streamers. It was a way for them to drive donations into their own platform and not external platforms, since they didn't get benefits from users using those external platforms.

Bits, for all intents and purposes, are currency Twitch created for donations in their platform, they are not a currency to purchase goods. They set it all up to give you rewards if you make said donations, incentives to make the donations, but it is not a store in the way you imagine it to be.

Instead of thinking about it as a store, which is the way you look at it, look at it as a charity event. You have to spend the Bits to access those rewards, but they are still free rewards. You can use those Bits in other channels, but you are not going to get these rewards. They are free rewards if you spend those in this channel. You are making a donation. This channel happens to give you these rewards for donating, while others might not give you rewards, or might give you different ones.

I just have to assume that you actually never donated money to any cause whatsoever. Nothing wrong with that, but maybe it would help to understand this. Bits are a donation system, not a store...
