posted a message on New Priest Card - Purify

One thing that really gets me from the dev notes on this? "At one mana people just used it to cycle". Uh... Yeah. So what? Priest has abysmal card draw, and they already have a 1-mana card that cycles. Except that that one actually provides a tangible benefit most of the time, and if worst comes to worst, you can play it on the enemy minions to cycle. I fail to see why a 1-mana card that cycles is so gamebreaking. I just don't. 99% of the time all you're accomplishing is losing 1 mana of tempo.

Even ignoring the effect of the creature it pulls, it's still a 4/5 statline. This guy will fit comfortably into most deathrattle builds, and is pretty playable on his own.

Cho'Gall is just waiting for a card to break it.  He could be good before he rotates out.

This. Cho'Gall is the kind of card developers look at a few years down the line and say, "What the hell were we thinking?!" He lets you cast a spell for free. Think about how powerful that could be. Imagine if Warlock got a card along the lines of "Lay on Hands" - suddenly, his battlecry effectively becomes "draw three cards". Now, that probably won't happen (Hearthstone future-proofs better than that), but do you really think they won't put out anything that makes him worth playing in the next year? That would shock me. Even now, playing him with something like Siphon Soul is already halfway to decent. Don't dust Cho'Gall until he rotates out.

They don't call it "Wallet Warrior" for no reason. There's no good replacement for the crowd control offered by Baron Geddon, or the guaranteed value/tempo you get off Harrison Jones. Ragnaros could conceivably be replaced with any generic fattie (Chromaggus? Frost Giant?), but it's hard to find one that fits that role so well - he really is just super good at what he does. Ysera... As others have pointed out, Alexstraza is a solid replacement, and basically anything with decent impact when it hits would probably fit the mold (Varian, maybe?)... All in all though, you really should get Harrison and Geddon.

I hate Flamewreathed Faceless in the current aggro incarnation. Never step on your Doomhammer, and don't add a card that's expensive (relative to other cards in this deck) and also bad if you draw it late game.

I feel like the Doomhammer turn you really don't want to step on is 6, when you drop Doomhammer + Rockbiter. And how is a 7/7 bad in lategame? Beats another Worgen Infiltrator, that's for sure. :P

posted a message on Is Blade Flurry unplayable?
    Quote from Christonya >>

Depends on the deck. In current rogue decks? Yes. In a control rogue deck? Sure... After we get a weapon good enough to use it on. As is right now, its 7 mana 3 damage aoe.

     Two cards as well.
It's not even just that it got nerfed hard. Without GvG, what cards are left to buff weapons? You lose Oil, Auto-Barber, and what's left? Enraged Blacksmith? Buccaneer? Assassin's Blade? Poison Blade? Yeah no. The reality is that your weapon will almost never be bigger than 3/2. They really could have held off on this nerf until they actually wanted to push the cards that would justify it. It's really kind of abysmal.

Would definetly run Brann Bronzebeard on ALL C'Thun decks too many battlecries to not to.

Doomcaller is quite bad, dicipline is better than twighlight elder

The curve is quite high, maybe run emperor(it won't survive 5 turns like in stream though)

I'm not too worried about the curve since every deck seems like their curve is getting higher with the new cards. With that, the meta slows down and I'm looking more to buff C'thun and control the board, rather than rush to pump things out with Thaurissan, though Thaurissan could be a good addition.
My ShamWOW deck will tear you apart with unmitigated glee. If you want to run a controlly C'Thun deck, then you need to have more cards that keep you alive early on, or allow you to regain the board later on. Where's Doomsayer? Where's that new life-gain minion? Your deck has extremely little to do before turn 4. Oil rogue got away with this by achieving absurd tempo swings with Blade Flurry. That's not an option any more. How do you stay alive against face decks? How do you regain the board against Tempo Mage? How do you deal with midrange decks playing a decent curve? Why in the world aren't you running the best C'Thun cards (Disciple of C'Thun and C'Thun's Chosen)?
Anyone hoping for a slower meta is forgetting just how stupid it is that Doomhammer didn't get nerfed. Shaman Aggro lost two flex cards and a burn spell, and in return it got two of the best 4-drops in the game, a better version of Lava Shock with legs, and removal on par with Flamecannon. If you don't have an answer to T1 Tunnel Trogg T2 Totem Golem, your deck probably isn't going to do so well.

What the fuck is this?  Why even play SI:7 Agent when there's a neutral minion that does its job without having to Combo AND buffs your C'Thun?

    Blizzard actually hates Rogue.

Because SI:7 Agent is a 3/3, which can be hard to remove in early game. This guy dies to hero powers. The far more reasonable comparison is to Argent Horserider IMO. And yeah, Argent Horserider is really good, and this is really good too.

Why is this epic? I mean, other than the obvious reason (everyone wants two now). Typically I was under the impression that rarity meant something beyond "we assign these at random", and that epic cards typically had some interesting, unique, impactful thing going on. This is more like Arcane Blast - epic for no good reason, really. This should be a rare.

But seriously? This card is hella good.
