A 5/4 beast for 4 mana with the ability to buff your Hero power up to 3 damage, giving druids better removal and a good turn 4 play when Keeper of the Grove isn't needed. Well done Blizzard, you did it right this time.

These last few cards have been meh. They might be good in some cases, but might be below average in others. Though it makes sense for Blizzard to make these cards, to balance out the good cards in arena, and to get you to buy more packs to get the cards you want. A little more variety, and a little more money for them.

posted a message on New legendaries (card voting), tweet to reveal both early

With it being so close, I think Blizzard might just wait until it reaches 100% if it doesn't quite get there for the time they had planned. It'd make sense on their part, to build up some more hype, and let them actually reveal everything  before the expansion comes out.

Allows you to buff this up if your enemy has secret like Freezing Trap, or punish opponents with cards like Mirror Entity and Counterspell. If you can activate at least 1 secret, it gains above average stats, but requires at least one player to have secrets to be good.

posted a message on New Card Reveal: Justicar Trueheart - Gives you new Hero Powers!

Does Totemic Slam allow you to summon a totem that's already on the board? If so, totem shaman might just be possible with these new cards, looking forward to trying it out.
Edit: Now we know it does, good to see a card that reduces shaman RNG rather than increase it.

Lets you have access to spells you might not have in your deck, and fills in for that 6 drop minion Druids need. Has below average stats to make up for being able to generate cards. Against aggro decks and with a couple of heals in your deck, this could prove to be very useful, though not so good against control decks.

posted a message on The not-so-Argent Tournament

Helloooooooooooo, everyone's favourite gal here! (I hope)
I wanted to try something interesting, what with The Argent Tournament being pretty much confirmed as an Expansion or an Adventure. I wanted to see what kind of cards everyone would like to be in the game. So if there's anyone out there wasting time like I am, go ahead and post your card Ideas, mechanics you'd like to see, or Bosses you'd like to fight if it ends out being an Adventure. Post as many or as few cards as you want and let's see who can come up with the best Ideas! (A little like the Weekly Card Design Competition, but with no holds barred)

For me: SECRETS! I love them, but trying to do ranked with a secret deck is nigh impossible, due to the lack of big minions, and running out of secrets, so here are a couple of ideas I had.
Violet Eye Magus can act as a Gang Up for your secrets and be very powerful, allowing you to keep cycling out your secrets, but is very easy to be killed. Dalaran Archmage is like Archmage only with better stats, and the potential for super Spell Damage, but also the possibility of no bonus Spell Damage, based on how secretive you're being.

Anyways, this could end out being a flop, but lets see what happens :3

    Transforms into Ironfur Grizzly.
It themed this card to the lore that Lone Druids are peaceful tend to keep to themselves, though will be dangerous if provoked. This might just seem like Sen'jin Shieldmasta, however, if you attack a minion with low attack you effectively transform it into a beast and Heal it for up to 2. However, a quick use of the mage hero power or any other method of dealing 1 damage can actually reduce its health further, so use it wisely.

"His favorite hobby is Bird-watching. We have no idea why."
I love the transform effect in the Druid class, and this allows you to buff small minions, or nerf powerful minions but give them stealth to guarantee trades next turn. This could be very powerful, but could also cost a lot board presence, so strategic positioning is necessary part of using this card. Also Beast Druid is a thing right? Right?

"She keeps trying to let it go, because she can't hold back any more."
I based this off Frost Elemental, and Big Game Hunter. It has the same stats as BGH,with a situational solid removal, however for 1 more mana it also provides a freeze. However, unlike BGH, it can take out any potential target, but at the cost of spending mana to freeze it. It would be great to be see freeze effects such as Ice Lance to be more viable one day.
Edit: Altered card text to make more sense.

posted a message on Class Creation Competition Phase I - Submission Topic [Ended]

    Kael'thas the Blood Mage:

The key theme to the Blood Mage class is Powerful spells and minions, but at the cost of your health, or that of your minions, somewhat like a Mage/Warlock/Warrior hybrid. Blood Mages are also capable of wielding magical weapons such as staffs, with effects like destroying minions they damage, or granting bonus spell damage while they still have durability. Blood Mages will have to make strategic plays, and decide whether they should sacrifice themselves for powerful turns, or if they should try and conserve their health.

    Hero Power:
Verdant Sphere - 2 Mana - Deal 1 damage to both Heroes. Gain Spell damage +1 this turn.
I wanted to follow the traditional Verdant Spheres powering up spells, but also wanted to incorporate a self damage mechanic to it. In order to make it balanced, I decided that it should deal damage to the enemy hero too, as if Kael'thas is draining life from the battlefield in order to gain power.

    3 Card Preview:

Phoenix: Common Minion - 6 Mana 6/6 Beast - Deathrattle: Return this card to your hand and deal 3 damage to your Hero.
Blood Mages are infamous for summoning phoenixes, and of course phoenixes are reborn after they die, but instead of re-summoning it, I went for a more unique effect so it returns to your hand instead. To balance out the card advantage it provides, it'll deal damage to you.

Molten Armor: Rare Spell - 4 Mana - Secret: When your Hero is attacked; Gain 5 armor, and deal 5 damage to the attacking character.
That's right! Blood mage spells cost 4 mana, however, they'll be very powerful. This one allows you to gain some armor when you're attacked, and deal damage to the attacking target, potentially destroying it before it can actually damage you. It could even kill the enemy Hero!

Mastery: Ignite: Epic Weapon - 3 Mana - Destroy any minion damaged by this weapon.
Assassinate allows you to destroy a minion for 5 mana. This allows you to destroy a minion for 3 mana. However, your Hero will be taking damage, and you'll be at the mercy of Taunt and Freeze effects. Blood Mages take a lot of damage from their other cards, so use this wisely.

Hero power text: Fireblast: Deal (3) damage. (x) Uses remaining.

Flavour text: "Kael'thas refused the job offer to be the new Mage hero, so we turned him into a card instead!"
Entry restrictions: 7 Mana, 7 Attack, 7 Health.
Made the effect last 3 uses; to prevent a potential permanent 3 damage hero power, but also guaranteeing you get to use the power.
