I was originally hoping for a Kael'thas mage skin, but Medivh has actually warmed on me, the black feathers and purple flames look so pweeettyy. Curse you well voice-acted bird man, you might have actually convinced me to buy one of these forsaken hero skins.
"She's always so lonely. Then again, she never brushes her teeth, so it's not a surprise really." A 3 mana drop for druid, with a nice stat lineup and beast druid synergy. Early game, you're not likely to heal more than 1 or 2 health to your characters, but this can be improved drastically if you manage to maintain your board with plenty of beasts, allowing for great trades and more survivablility.
Helloooooooooo. I thought I'd create a legendary dragon for each class because... DRAGONS. Anyways, tell me what you think, and what you think would be good to make them more balanced.
Brightwing - An actual 3 drop for druids with a good effect, there's a first time for everything. There aren't any 3 drop dragons, and druid needs 3 mana cards, so why not? Atramedes - Less facehunter. Is blind. Has nice stats. 11/10 would bang. A slower but bigger hunter card that can make your opponent choose not to attack with a minion. Kalecgos - Surprisingly enough, Mage cards can have spell interactions. I wanted a nice meaty Mage card that synergies on using more spells Chronormu - Timey wimey dragon, lets you plan a turn ahead because you are a bad person. Lets you plan your next turn, and see whether drawing cards is worth it or not. Murozond - Nozdormu after a few drinks. Can only travel back in time to a few minutes ago. Not really a Preist themed card, but the silence and healing effect fits very nicely I think. Netherspite - More rogue spell damage because nobody loves you. Doesn't provide any instant spell damage, but can be dangerous if left alone. Ultraxion - *whispers seductively* "Shaman card draw and Overload support." I don't really need to explain myself for this one. Sintharia - Suddenly Hellfire doesn't suck. We have Mal'ganis to stop hero damage, but one that protect your minions would be great. Sindragosa - Because Death Knights are just a card game urban legend. More control via freeze, and puts a soft taunt on the board.
At worst, it gets killed by a 5 attack minion or a spell, making it sub-par in stats. (Or gets Shadow Madness used on it, letting the Priest keep the 4/4.) At best, you kill a 4/3, and get a 4/4 with Taunt, giving druids a nice sticky minion. (Comparable to a Piloted Shredder summoning Millhouse Manastorm, but if it survives instead.)
"Attacking people is boring. Hurl Wisps at them instead!" Balancing: + Your hero doesn't take damage = Gain +1 attack this turn only as normal. (Can be buffed, and can attack separately from hero) - You don't gain any armour.
It's a tough job to be an assassin when you smell of rotting flesh. (Works like Blessing of Wisdom; silences the enemy minion before it actually attacks)
Thanks for the reply! Innervating into this would be absolutely ridiculous, I agree with you on it being a big tempo play. It'd be like the Dr. Balanced of Druid, with less damage, but un-bgh-able. I feel the best couse of action would be to nerf to crow to a 2/2, because nerfing Anzu would also mean that the AoE would have to be tweaked.
Druids are lacking in a good 6 drop, mech-bear-cat just doesn't seem to make the cut in a lot of cases, and I also wanted a bit more beast synergy. I know that with the crow it's 7/8 of stats for 6, but it's split pretty well I think. With Screech, it's a dread infernal with less attack but no self damage, which I think is acceptable given it's a legendary. Edit: Changed the storm crow from a 3/2 to a 2/2. Anyways, tell me what you think!
@Raiga I must have added the weapon weapon just after you posted :) I never thought of something like shadowform, that sounds pretty nifty. I admit, it is pretty expensive, though in a spell druid deck could be devastating. Yours is a pretty good idea actually, though I think I'm just a little too fond of the whole changing your hero thing. Thanks for the suggestion though! :)
@fullasgames I think a choose one mechanic might make it too versatile. If you were able to choose different hero shapeshifts/hero powrers it could effectively be like a 2 in 1 Jaraxxus, which I don't think would be fair. Though I do like the idea of it though.
@WarmasterCly. I used to run a spellpower Druid deck just for laugh, and malygos + swipe is especially ridiculous. There's something really satisfying about being able to hit you opponent for 9 whilst clearing their board for only 4 mana. If druids had another way to have a constant spellpower buff like Moonkin Form, then spellcasting orientated druids might make a comeback.
I think I'll make the weapon card now. After thinking about it, especially after you've shapeshifted into a giant owlbear, you shoud be able to have good claw at your enemies.
How about a weapon that works similarly to the Druid's hero power, perhaps a 2/6, Whenever you attack, gain 2 armor? I feel that Jaraxxus should have a higher attack than the Moonkin, given that Moonkin form is more spell orientated, and well, Jaraxxus is Jaraaxxus, need I say more?
Thanks for the suggestion Inky, after thinking it through, I much prefer your idea. A card that rewards spellpower druid would certainly be interesting, as we haven't seen ye olde spellpower druid them for quite some time. Given that my hero power was just a buffed up version of the regular one, a hero power that's a load different definitely makes it more interesting. Thanks a bunch for the input!
