KilogramHours posted a message on Weekly Design Competition #14 - [Ended]"CONTERE! MORTEM! EXITIUM!"
Overview: Very strong Warlock card, however you have a chance to lose a bunch of your cards in the process. However if you are lucky, it is just a very strong card.
Balance: If you compare it to Hungry Dragon or Fireguard Destroyer, you can see that it isn't as strong as it looks. Losing a card, even as Warlock, is extremely bad tempo loss. But if you are lucky, you can really have a minion that dominates your opponent.
Synergies: If you silence GoW, the effect shuts off which might be good enough. A huge question is whether you would run this in zoo? It is a very strong, but cheap minion. But if you accidentally discard a Doomguard you might lose the game. You wouldn't put this in handlock or demonlock just because there are many key cards that you need to survive.

Red_G posted a message on Weekly Design Competition #14 - [Ended]This interacts with every hero power differently. The basic idea is that if either player uses their hero power, it randomly misfires.
Hunter: deals 2 damage to own face; Mage: deals 1 damage to random target, Paladin: summons 1/1 for opponent; Warlock, deals 2 damage to opponent and your opponent draws a card; Rogue: equips a 1/2 weapon for opponent; Shaman: summons totem for opponent; Warrior: gives 2 armor to opponent; Priest: heals random target for 2; Druid, gives opponent 1 armor (since the attack disappears at end of turn, that part doesn't matter); Jaraxxus: summons 6/6 for opponent; Ragnaros: deals 8 damage to random friendly target.
Note that for some of these hero powers, "backfiring" can be beneficial! Rogues can replace your weapon you got from Blingtron, Warlocks can deal damage to your face, and Shaman/Paladin can set up a Mind Control Tech turn.

Thalrick posted a message on Weekly Design Competition #13 - [Ended]This card is based off The Prophet Skeram, a boss of Ahn'Qiraj. This card have really heavy value, it's basically a yeti and 2 ancient watcher for 7 mana. However, considering that Druids doesn't have much cards to synergize with Ancient Watcher, and the risk of having too much minion out against mind control tech, I decided to add a misdirect functionality to the summon instead, to make this competitive against other powerful 7/8 mana drops such as Ragnarok and Dr.Boom. So when both illusion are alive, enemies will have chance to attack the illusions instead. This will be used to gain board control, but it will not be strong against face, due to high mana commitment of the card and redirection effect only useful if the enemy target minions.
The illusions summoned.

Aragorn1398 posted a message on [Rank 4] Tempo ShamanPosted in: [Rank 4] Tempo ShamanThis deck is very slow and rarely takes the offensive. Puts very little pressure on the opponent and relies on the opponent to play into the cards in your hand. The concept is cool, but it just doesn't work when the opponent can decide to either kill your hero or your minions, while you can only try and clear minions all game.

FruityFellow posted a message on Weekly Design Competition #13 - [Ended]Posted in: Fan CreationsOMG brainstorm! Here is my submission:
I never played WoW,but according to the wiki, he summons a wave of Kor'Krons to fight you and another one at 10% health, so i thought this mechanic might work!
The Kor'krons:
Clarification: You CANT get Kor'kron elite from him, thats just OP!

Pegussu posted a message on Weekly Design Competition #13 - [Ended]Posted in: Fan CreationsHad this idea for a while now and since it fit this design competition, I figured I'd give it a shot.
Rather than basing it on WoW mechanics, I instead used information found in Hearthstone itself. From Light's Justice flavor text: Prince Malchezaar was a collector of rare weapons. He'd animate them and have them dance for him.
Idea is fairly simple; durability becomes health and card text is modified slightly (eg, Gladiator's Longbow becomes "This minion is immune while attacking."). The card would retain any damage or buffs to it, so stealing a dagger with Deadly Poison that attacked once gives you a 3/1. And mayyybe their minion type could be "Weapon" which allows you to use weapon-interaction cards such as Goblin Auto-Barber to buff the minion. I'd do mock-ups of all the weapon minions, but I doubt anyone wants to see 20+ existing cards modified slightly.
Edit: Adjusted stats and changed the wording on the card text.

An amazing card when the spell damage works, and a good silence target

I thought this would be a really fun card to use, it summons a minion for you and slows down your opponent at the same time
If you can't see the card in the attachments, here it is:
Anub'arak
5/7
Whenever this minion takes damage, summon a 1/2 Haunted Creeper and turn a random enemy minion into a 0/2 Nerubian Egg.

Unfortunately, I think all the new effects suck. For example, 50% chance of attacking the wrong target? Nobody needs that. And now THIS? Blizzard better realize that nobody wants these. They also have to make freakin' BGH targets.

Um... why?!

Just realized that autocorrect changed cardback to cardiac lol

Agreed, priest is still pretty good, and with the add of Resurrect I'd say this deck could go far.

I think they should make a not moving version and a golden version of all the cardbacks, and they could award the golden cardbacks like the golden heroes. For example, you could get a golden cardback for winning 100 games with a cardback.
2
This card is gonna be pretty useful for 3/2 removal.

I think they should give you a cardback as well as a golden hero for winning 500 games with a hero, I can imagine how great the warrior and warlock ones would be...

The cupcake cardiac is just kinda disappointing. The BRM cardiac was amazing, and I think it's really sad that they had to give us such a bad cardiac right after. Personally, I'm never gonna use it
