Yeah, basically useless.. you are smarter than them and your sample size of 20 games are more relevant than hundreds of thousands..

Honestly, Murloc Pally is good so you should should be fine climbing with it; learn the mulligans for the deck, learn the matchups, constantly try to improve on areas of the game that are costing you wins. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. You could do the same thing with Midrange Hunter, or any other deck that's performing well currently.

Legend_Entomber posted a message on Who agrees that we probably have the healthiest meta yet?Posted in: Standard FormatHealthy meta?
There are 4 decks in T1 - Quest rogue, Miracle Rogue, Taunt warrior, Pirate warrior... That is not healthy!Either you want only 1-2 decks T1 to dominate everything else or you want exclusive Paper-Rock-Scissor decks as T1 aka RenoLock - PW - Jade ...both are worse than this meta. -

then build your deck appropriately. after struggling for months during MSoG i learned to tech and this expansion gave so many tools to deal with pirate warrior. If you wanna play a 7 mana minion deck, sorry, its not gonna workYou're wrong, its the games fault I'm losing, never my fault. -

TheHoodedClaw posted a message on why are you not rewarded for playing the game ?Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from Haussenfuss >>I assume that others have made this point - apologies for not having read every post on the thread.
Faeria, Shadowverse, Duelyst, Gwent, and other games aren't more generous than HS because they respect their player base more than Blizzard. Faeria, Shadowverse, Duelyst, Gwent, and all the rest are more generous because they have to be. If they didn't give away most of their content for free, no one would play them. All of the companies, including Blizzard, are following the same business model - each are simply doing what currently makes the most sense. If Faeria, or Gwent, or any of the other games, manages to survive and become successful, their business models will adapt to their success - and their player base will bitch and moan about it. Most CCGs fail within a few years of launch - it's a niche market dominated by a huge brand which limits the amount of space in which competitors can thrive. Some do - but for every Pokemon, there are dozens of Spellfires, Mythos, and Chaotics. It seems likely that a very large majority of mobile- and PC-based CCGs will belong to the latter group, rather than the former - hence the need to give away most of their content for free at launch.
Indeed. There is a lot of fuzzy thinking going on in this thread but Haussenfuss brings some clarity here.As business ventures, all online CCGs are on the same model. At the end of the day, all that they care about is paying players. The good thing for us is that they realise that very few people will pay for the game from day 1 so they offer the F2P model as a way of reducing barriers to entry and enabling players to become interested (addicted?) enough to start spending cash. All that they are interested in is bringing in players and then monetising them. This isn't a dig at the folks who created and continue to work on the game. They are very probably all gamers and primarily motivated by a passion for creating a great game for everyone. However, they work for a profit-making company who pay their salaries so they have to adhere to their employers' strategies.Blizzard must surely be very astute regarding monetising players since they have all the access the could ever need to data regarding our paying habits but, make no mistake, if a player has been playing for over 12 months and still not paid any money in to the game, Blizzard will see them as a lost cause, financially, and will not give their views any weighting at all when determining their pricing policies and the level of freebies that they give players.Other games may be at an earlier point in their lifecycle and keen to attract players who will never be monetised just because they want a critical mass in their player base such that one can always swiftly find an opponent. Also, they want their game to have a decent presence in online forums to create a buzz and the appearance of being a going concern. However, whichever of these game gains traction and develops a loyal (addicted?) player base will then progress to a new model prioritising the monetising of their players.Fairness to loyal player doesn't even come in to it. The amount of time or work you put in to this game is also irrelevant to Blizzard - you may consider that your time is worth plenty but it doesn't generate any income for Blizzard so they will be entirely unmoved by your plight.tl;dr : Blizzard wants to monetise you. If you decline then your opinions don't matter to them. -

melacine posted a message on Uninteractive aggro decks need to be nerfed!Posted in: Standard FormatYour definition of "uninteractive aggro decks" needs to be buffed. Some people don't want to play 15 minute games or have to deal with 3 or more ice blocks everytime they play mage (hence the eater of secrets tech-in). I used to enjoy face hunter and a bit of zoo-lock, and mur-lock as those were fun and not just face is the place- some hunter was but not all- smart trading was there too. Not every control-ish deck should expect to get to turn 10 if you don't tech in for decks that will flood the board early and savage roar/bloodlust to push lethal early.
ALSO ... if you want a complex game, HEARTHSTONE has never been that. It is largely un-interactive. See most games where you can play cards during the opponents turn in response to what he is doing... Hearthstone is pretty much "my turn is over... aside from a secret, I'm at the mercy of whatever my opponent can do." To me it sounds like you have an issue with the game period- not just the meta. If that's the case, try something new. I've played many CCG and they can get stale. The full control meta was boring to me because I didn't have 15000 dust for the decks that ruled the meta nor did I have the patience to play against a warrior with 45 extra armor. That seemed uninteractive to me as well.

Kaladin posted a message on Full analysis on why the Paladin quest is trashPosted in: Card DiscussionA single big threat (Barnabus, Galvadon, Amara, Carnassa) is never going to beat multiple/unlimited medium sized threats (Crystal Core, Time Warp, Sulfuras, Megafin to some extent, and I bet even Nether Portal will be decent at some point).

I think it might become less of a problem when Totem Golem rotates out. Then, they'll only have 2 of the best early game cards instead of 3, but their board won't be much to speak of.

See's OP's name.
Bets that he's complaining about a deck he can't play.
Is not disappointed.

You're right, the principal is the same. When you spend real money for entertainment, there is no return on investment except for enjoying the entertainment.
If you don't enjoy the entertainment, then don't spend money on it.
