Hello everyone, I'm new to these forums (I only joined a day or 2 ago), and still quite new to hearthstone as well. I don't have any of the adventures aside from Karazhan, and have just dusted most of the cards from the adventure. I'm sitting on 1700 dust (By far the most I've had so far), and am looking for a decent, cheap deck that I can climb the ladder with. I'd be happy if I could even hit rank 10-14ish, doesn't have to be legendary rank just yet.
Some info that might help: I have no legends aside from Prince Malchezzar and Medivh (I dusted the others as I didn't see them being very useful), and am fond of Priest and Paladin the most, however I can work with nearly any class barring Druid and Shaman. My card collection is pretty small at the moment, but if anyone could provide a deck I could spend this dust on (Preferably NOT C'thun, I hate everything about C'thun but will settle if need be), I'd greatly appreciate the assistance :)

For a new player the best place to see what are the best decks is: Tempo Storm MetaSnapshot, it shows all the meta decks in a well made ranking system, as for the decks you could craft, I recommend: Warlock "Zoolock" and Midrange Hunter without Ragnaros.

The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!
uhhh you will regret dusting The Curator at some point for sure and Barnes can sometimes win you the game turn 4 with a good pull like Savannah Highmane . Don't dust cards too quickly!
Like another poster, I would also suggest not dusting cards too hastily. I understand that the beginning of the game can be really slow, but if you work through it you'll be able to enjoy all the cards later.
I'm sure you could make a good hunter pretty cheap. A lot of their power comes from the classic set in the form of commons and rares. You can use Kindly Grandmotherand Cloaked Huntress too.

Green and red Gruul Energry is a great starter deck.
Electrostatic Pummeler and Voltaic Brawler would be your main creatures
edit: necro thread...
There's always face warrior, but with the nerfs its not quite as good
Probably the best budget deck there is tho
