2nd August update: Comparing Sredna / Kolento Dragon Warrior decks (Standard): Getting rank 3 & Deathwing vs Zombies! (1080p)
Dragon warrior has proven popular on the standard ladder. In this video, I compare two decks. The Sredna deck plays Onyxia / Deathwing, and the Kolento deck plays Arch-Thief. The last game is awesome - my zombies vs their Deathwing!
4th August update: Toymachine's Wild Zoolock (rank 4): Beating paladins means MAJOR salt & facing a friend with rank 4 at stake (1080p)
Wild mode. Zoolock. Enough said. This series of games features: - destroying paladins - see the start of this video for comments from a very salty player who didn't like being beaten by this deck. - The last game in the video was an emotional one - I faced a friend, with rank 4 at stake!
5th August update: Senfglas Tempo Mage (Standard) - Antonidas, Rhonin (AND Yogg) - fireworks everywhere!! (1080p)
I think most people would agree that Antonidas and Rhonin are slow cards in Tempo Mage - particularly if you are facing aggressive or even midrange decks. In control games though, those cards can be game winners. Well, let's ignore conventional wisdom. Antonidas and Rhonin are two of my favourite cards. So I decide to play them. In fact, they prove to be so good that Yogg doesn't even see play ;-)
6th August: Sjow's C'thun Warrior (Standard) - Doomcaller/Sylvanas/C'Thun strategy and who needs Gorehowl (1080p)
Having fun with Sjow's C'thun Warrior - in particular, being mindful of the mirror match - where you can steal C'Thun using Sylvanas and deny their Doomcaller value :-)
9th August update: Thijs Astral Communion Druid (Standard): Misplaying my way to victory / Soggoth MVP (1080p)
Time for some relief from the intense ladder grind. Watch me misplay my way to victory :-) Check out these highlights: 42:45 - Soggoth the slitherer MVP! 44:45 - The end of the video features an insane Aviana sequence!
15th August update: Hearthstone Karazhan experiments: Trying the LifeCoach Secrets Hunter with Yogg and Cloaked Huntress (1080p)
"Who am I? None of your..." - oh wait.. wrong class. Time for some fun. Secrets in hunter! Trying out the Lifecoach deck. It works well! We break the deck down, look at the synergies and raise a few questions...
Revisiting Lifecoach Secrets Hunter: Rank 5 v Arcanosmith Rogue / Snipe so good / Is Yogg needed? (1080p)
This is a follow-up to the video I posted above. We take another look at the Lifecoach Secrets Hunter, streaking into rank 5 on standard mode. In this video, we conclude that: - Snipe is amazing. - Secrets cause great confusion - I call it 'Secret Psychology'. - Cloaked Huntress offers insane value - and becomes an instant target on the board. - Is Yogg even needed?
29th August update: 500 wins and my Golden Paladin hero with Demopolos Secrets Paladin @ Rank 4 (Wild/Barnes/Nzoth)(1080p)
A landmark moment for me - getting golden Paladin :-) I used the Demopolos Wild Mode Secrets Paladin - some really fun games at ranks 4 and 5. I put Barnes in for fun.
30th August update: Rank 2: Trying out the Northcoast Midrange Hunter (Wild)(1080p)
I try to move through the Wild Mode ladder - beating a Shaman (rank 4), Warlock (rank 3) and Freeze Mage (rank 2). The double Explosive trap is an interesting choice and usually works out well against aggressive classes!
3rd September update: Karazhan Arena: 3 Flamestrikes and Pyroblast + Firelands Portal into Leeroy (1080p)
The Standard mode ladder is depressing me at the moment - so I turned back to what I love about Hearthstone... Arena. It's my first Arena run in over 2 months. I pick 3 Flamestrikes and a Pyroblast. Some really fun games and highlights!
Time for something different. Is this a competitive deck for the ladder? - perhaps.... However, it is SO much fun to play! This Paladin deck has Gazlowe and lots of 1 mana spells. Mechs everywhere! Sit back and enjoy. Thanks to Jackalicious for this deck (http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/607700-one-mana-spell-mech-deck).
6th September update: Senfglas Control Warrior w/Prince Malchezaar: Epic Paladin game - legendary show-down (1080p)
Time for some standard mode experimentation. I have a go with the Senfglas Control Warrior with Prince Malchezaar. The last game is long, but so INSANE! We both go to fatigue - and the Golden Monkey saves the day with BOLF RAMSHIELD and Alexstrasza! Insane ending.
16th September update: Tavern Brawl 'Top 3': Malchezaar Communion Druid: Milling, Concedes and Deathwing! (1080p)
Using Malchezaar Communion Innervate Druid was so much fun with this week's Tavern Brawl. There is a level of unpredictability which other three card decks can't give you. For example, with the Innervate Oracle Naturalize deck - the outcome and future plays are predictable. With this deck, you are at the mercy of Malchezaar and his legendaries!
Prince Malchezaar on wild mode with Kel'Thuzad AND N'Zoth? Greedy? Yes. Fun? Oh yes. I apologise for some of my misplays in this video. I was in it for the fun and not the technique. Is this deck viable on wild mode? Yes I think so! The original deck can be found here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/628158-prince-is-wild
