What do you guys think of the new nerfs? I think Warrior play is gonna rise and so are decks to counter Warrior. Here's a discussion I did, but let's have one here, what are your thoughts?/
Rogue isn't done but will be less popular. As with this warrior won't see more play but all the opposite, warriors best matchup was rogue and with fewer rogues, theres gonna be room for more variety and tougher matchups for warrior as well. Warrior is still a very strong deck and will continue to be relevant, but the nerfs dont help him
I disagree. Warrior wins the long control game vs anything else too. It's gonna be nice to see how the meta changes after the nerfs. Rogue is a lot slower, what made them great is how fast they were doing things.
But no other deck plays the long control game other than shaman, and warrior already beats it. Meanwhile control warrior is unfavorable against paladin, mage and hunter. All those decks struggled against rogue, but now rogue gets nerfed. So the biggest food of warrior (rogue) will disappear, and that lets all the counters to warrior to see more play.
I need to disagree with the main point and said that Tempo rogue not relays on preparation that much and the other 2 nerfs are even less important to the deck:
EVIL miscreant - only lose 1 defense. Yes that make it more tradeable on curve but is not a problem.
Riding Part - Probably this one will be cut to 1 but thats it. Half tutoring 2 cards and draw it is still a good dealt for 4 mana.
Tess rogue is done? Preparation nerf and riding hurts a LOT more in this one actually. The decks that sufer the most are Wild decks. But who plays Wild? (joke) lets not forget that ever green decks are problematic for standard so how much this hurts wild decks its not even a concern to the dev team.
Warrior was good because it was efective against rogue, maybe some thing like Mech Hunter wich is good against warrior but horrible against tempo rogue will rise

More like Warrior was safe to nerf becuase of Rogue. Now if the dev team see warrior super strong (something that we need to see if is hapenning or not) that is the next nerf target of the year for sure.

Indeed, and why I said rogue isn't done. The nerfs are not supposed to kill the deck, but to slow it down so its not oppressive anymore and gives other decks the opportunity to rise up and overall create a more balanced meta.

That's a fair argument. I will now make it my goal to make it to legend with Control Warrior post nerfs.

Very happy with the nerfs

Control Warrior can now take the techs against Rogue and use it for cards in rest of the meta. BGH, Silences, etc.

I'll be switching back to mech hunter in the short term. I had switched to secrets because it stood up to rogue better.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Warrior slapping two spellbreakers into the main hurts mech hunter a lot.

That's fair. Guess we have to wait until the nerf goes live tomorrow. See you on ladder. :P
