So it seems to me like 9/10 games that you lose in Hearthstone today are people BM, or Bad Manner killing you. So what is Bad Manner? Bad Manner is where a person can kill you in a simple way, for example an attack to the face, but instead they find the longest way to kill you possible, for example Life Tap into Mortal Coil their own minion, into defender of argus, into wiping your board and then finally attacking you at the end. To me this not only shows that someone is not a good sportsman, but that they actually waste their own time just to annoy you (Side note: This doesn't annoy me at all, I find it funny and sad that they want to waste their time doing this).
It seems to me that too many people have been watching streamers or ESGN Fight Night and copying their style of finishing off your opponent in the most bad manner way possible.
Wouldn't it be a lot faster/more efficient to kill your opponent quickly and then move onto the next match rather then spend a minute trying to kill him slowly? I sure think it would. I think Bad Manner people, and people who wait until the end of the rope to make their play just to annoy you are making the Hearthstone community a lot worse.
I personally never Bad Manner kill people as I find it sad and pathetic. What are your thoughts on BM Finishing?
I agree completely, it happens all the time when the lethal is obvious, they start performing some elaborate scheme of moves for no purpose. I guess they want to make a win grandiose or something.
I think that if BM bocomes one common thing in the future Hearthstone community will be similar to what we have on other games like LoL, COD or Dota, full of stupidity and hate. If you watched the nescafé tourment and saw Kripp's comments on Reynad's games you get what I'm trying to say.
(But some times people just don't see lethal on board. It happens to me a lot because I'm always alt+tabbing and don't pay much attention)
The first hearthstone streamer I really watched was Trump and I took my cues from him. He very very rarely will BM someone and mainly does it when they've been a jerk all match. So, now when I see someone BM their kills it just looks classless. I never watched Krip stream before but the first game I saw he BM'ed his opponent for no apparent reason. I'm done watching his stream. I really think the "celebrities" of hearthstone should take some responsibility for promoting a friendly community. It's in their best interest for the game to grow and prosper.
I definitely agree with you on the matter. Like you, it doesn't annoy me, I guess I just try to figure out why they are doing it. I don't know if they think it is funny or cute or whatever, but I would rather deal with this than having in-game chat.
You call it wasting time when someone plays out their combos and tries their way with their deck?
What do you play this game for?
Situation: Im on 4 heath and my opponent has a Young Priestess and Leper Gnome on board and I have nothing. They could easily attack for 4 and win they game, instead they tap and play abusive sergeant, then they mortal coil it and do some other pointless moves.
You call this playing out their combos and trying the ways with their deck? You must have a very strange play style.

If the game is so obviously over why don't you just concede? Seems to me like you are opening yourself up to such extravagant plays. Also, as mentioned above people do sometimes have daily's that they are trying to get done.
If I'm in arena, I'm fine with it. Hell I do it sometimes. Enemy has empty board, 5 hp and I have Ragnaros on my board. I Pyroblast instead of ending the turn. In arena, people get access to cards they often don't have in constructed, so no biggie. Now in constructed, I've most likely seen your deck (Zoo/Handlock/huntard especially), there's nothing interesting to see.
Just my 2 cents.
P.S. I always BM end someone who repeatedly BM'd me earlier in the match.

You never concede in Hearthstone incase your opponent misplays or misses lethal, that example was just a straight forward example I as giving. Yeah people might be doing the quests, but about 80% of the time its not that case.

Then what are you really complaining about? It is kind of like forcing someone to actually checkmate you in chess when you have obviously lost. Perhaps your opponents think you have the bad manners? I don't drag things out personally because time is to precious to me but that is just my take.
I found a situation where my opponent didn't take lethal. He was fooling around with the buffs that he suddenly attacked one of my minions(no taunts at the time) instead of directing it for the lethal, then took advantage of swipe and still won that game.
Kids, never underestimate and never fool. But overall, BMs are obvious, before he can finish it, just quit it. Missing the lethal because of stupidity? Trying to wait for that? that's still a hard bet if you've already calculated on the loss.
But heck, patience does make a better player, right?
I find it extremely fun to make a huge final blow, like you being in 1 and pumping a creature to hit you for 12.
Sure, you can say its BM. But i play the game to have fun, not to be time efficient on my kills. I could kill you in 4 seconds, but where is the fun in that?
I found it BM to concede a match. Cant you wait 20 seconds and let your opponent finish? He maybe needs 10 more damage to finish a quest or something like that and you ruin it.

How would it be bad manner for me to end my turn in the hopes that he makes a mistake or misclick or something else that doesn't end the game, the chance is always there and it's happened to me before where I've punished people who failed BM'ing.
Here is a prime example of why you never concede in Hearthstone... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBB3Dah_raw. Yeah the player might be really bad, however the point still stands that the opponent could get too excited about the win and make a misplay.
My original point was that it's not good for the community at all, we already have people adding people after matches to swear at them or wish cancer upon people or their family. If the community continues in this direction then we won't be much different to the LoL community.
I understand and know that misplays or bad plays can happen. All I'm saying is that you have control over if you end your turn or concede in an obvious win situation. If you allow the other player a turn then it is there prerogative to do what they want. If you don't want people swearing at you after games then don't accept the friends request. All of this is in your control. You basically want everyone to play the way you want them to. It's just not going to happen like that. Like I said, I simply concede and move on if I am obviously beat. If I have enough damage on the board to finish someone I just do it and move on. But that is me. I don't hold anyone else to my standards.

A co-worker actually won't let his son play because I told him sometimes people friend you to yell at you. I couldn't find any parental controls to block friend requests. So, yeah the community is definitely hurt by bad manners.

The only time I ever BM is when i have a quest such as destroy 30 minions or deal 100 damage to the enemy hero.
I think that if BM bocomes one common thing in the future Hearthstone community will be similar to what we have on other games like LoL, COD or Dota, full of stupidity and hate. If you watched the nescafé tourment and saw Kripp's comments on Reynad's games you get what I'm trying to say.

You can't deal with this, seriously there is no way to end this. Goodluck though.

Unless explicitly stated, my posts are my opinion and mine only.
If you are about to lose, know you are going to lose, but don't concede, it means you want the enemy to BM you.
Where the hell did calling this behavior BM come from? I still think bowel movement every time I see someone mention it lol.

I thought the exact same thing! Ha! BM have become to PC...better keep them on the DL!
