I'm new to the game and was wondering if someone could clear things up for me regarding these questions I have about crafting:
1. Since you can only use 2 copies of the same card per deck, does that mean you can disenchant all extra copies of that card? For example if I have 5 copies of a card, can I safely disenchant 3 of them?
2. Is it advisable to sacrifice a card in order to be able to craft something else later on? Or should one only rely on disenchanting duplicates in order to gather dust?
If you are on EU you are welcome to add me or send me PM if you need advice. All posts above are right so no need to write everything again. I have played HS since release and I think I have pretty good know knowledge about cards. I will help you as much as I can :)
- If you aren't 100% sure, DON'T DE. Many people deem a card as 'bad' because it's on a class they don't like or they don't see the use of it. It's this mentality that got me to DE Bloodmage Thalnos. That's my most regretful DE as I've still been unable to replace him.
- Only DE even the bad cards when you are ready to craft the card you need. If you have Lorewalker Cho and have the option of dusting him, but you aren't ready to craft something from the dust, then why dust right then? You can mess around with Cho in the meanwhile, but you can't play with 400 dust. When you are 400 dust away from a card you want, you can dust Cho right then and craft anyway.
There's also the rare chance that the card receives a nerf. Some people ended up gaining a lot of dust since they held even the duplicates of acard that then got nerfed down, such as Auctioneer or the Eaglehorn Bow.
Double check if the card you want to DE is constructed material (meaning: it will be used to build decks). Some are good in arena only, and others kinda look lame at first sight but have some uses in some constructed decks

Hey
I'm new to the game and was wondering if someone could clear things up for me regarding these questions I have about crafting:
1. Since you can only use 2 copies of the same card per deck, does that mean you can disenchant all extra copies of that card? For example if I have 5 copies of a card, can I safely disenchant 3 of them?
2. Is it advisable to sacrifice a card in order to be able to craft something else later on? Or should one only rely on disenchanting duplicates in order to gather dust?
Thanks for your help :)
If you reached the point of needing to sacrifice cards for other cards guess where that leads to.

One addition, though, to #2 suggestions.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
Besides what people already told you:
