I saw Kripps video this am and did some digging through reddit. Figured I would make a little video of the actual bug and maybe get an idea of what you guys think. Do you think this is too far away? Let me know!
Yea thats what I though and some people could get the cards to unlock on the 24th which is a monday which makes sense. But mine would only ever unlock on the 25th and if I went further than that my whole damn game would just crash at startup.
Me too I mean I guess its better to get partially through the season without having a mess on the ladder and giving us a little time before the following season but still seems too far out.
Got myself the preorder today. I think that 2-3 weeks make sense for a preorder sale. Got to say that sweet time is ahead:
24.8 release of TGT 16.9 South Park starts again 21.9 Big Bang Theory starts again 11.10 Walking Death starts again
Based on the fakt that we got 25-35°C in Germany I'm really fine with the release date. Give me the "Better Call Saul - Season 2" release date and I'm one of the most happy persons on this planet :)
The video doesn't prove anything. So they set the clock to August 24th. Doesn't mean that is the release day. Could have been August 3rd, 10th, or 17th and the game would still show the packs as unlocked on August 24th.
people seriously thought an expansion was going to be released on midnight of the first of the month, which is also a saturday? come on now guys...blizzard has always let us know a bit ahead of time the exact date their expansions/adventures were going to be released. why would it suddenly be different?

Except... The game does not allow you to try to open packs if you set the system clock to august 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd...
but DOES allow you to *try to* open them on the 24th or beyond.
I don't understand how you can think that this is NOT a very possible release date -- considering Blizzard knew which quarter they were going to release Reaper of Souls, Hearthstone, the scrapped game with codename Titan and the Heart of the Swarm back in 2010...
This is activision now. "It's done when it's done" doesn't apply anymore: It's pushed out of the door at deadline, regardless of it's quality -- as seen with Diablo 3, or scrapped, as seen with Titan.
People dissapointed that they cant open their packs on the 1st of August are... Dumb, to put it lightly. You bought something and you didnt bother to read revelant information.
I really don't mind the meta atm so even tho i would like TGT rather sooner than later it doesn't bother me to grind another 2-3 weeks in known enviroment i feel comfortable in.

That vid is weird. Nice.
24th August is far, but if it worth the waiting, I'll wait.

The 24th it's so far away.
Now I'm sad I thought we were getting this in the middle of the month at worst.

Looks like I'll be playing Magic Origins until the 25th. Kappa

Not supposed to prove anything just a theory. But it does give us a pretty accurate idea of the release if you look at all the past evidence.
I guess the release will be after the end of the current Tavern Brawl, so my bet is Monday, August 3rd.
It's confirmed that's going to be in the last week of August
Given that some people had considerable problems with purchasing Naxx I'd be careful trying this out for yourself.
Who knows into what kind of weird state Hearthstone might bug out.

So pissed. I thought Available in August meant available today. I bought the prepurchase and checked all night... Midnight, 2:30, 3:30, 6am EST. :-(
It's anyone guess now.

I know the battle.net forums have blown up with people raging that they can't open them lol
