Pretty favorable card instead of Zombie Chow in ramp, imo. Two 1/1s trade favorably with most other 1 drops if you are going first. If you don't have Wild Growth a turn two hero power + trading can get rid of almost anything. Also lets you get rid of huffer or knife juggler without an awkward use of Wrath. Solid damage with a bonus from a Drake during mid/late game also.

    The power creep is real.

You're flat out wrong. It would only be power creep if both these cards were neutral. Different classes have different specialties. Priest SHOULD be the best healing class it only makes sense.

posted a message on Thirteen New Cards Revealed, Still Only One Priest Common Revealed.

Don't be. Despite only one card revealed we are still going to get a bunch of new priest stuff and some of the neutrals revealed seem like they will affect priest quite heavily:

    The twin legendary 3 drops

The new 1 drop (mini blademaster)

Joust mechanic seems to reward a decklist that includes resurrect

Those are just a few thoughts off the top of my head. The future is bright for priest. If anything, Rogue seems the most likely to be at the bottom of the totem pole after TGT launches.

posted a message on Removal: A druid's quest
    Quote from Firebolts jump

Druid has had a main problem over th years: It has no 'good' hard-removal.

I think it will be likely that we'll be given hard removal in tGT, but until then:

If you think that there will be hard removal for druid in TGT then I think you are dreaming.

Blizzard knows very well that druid has no hard removal, it's called checks and balances. Every class has strengths and weaknesses. If Druid had excellent cheap removal options like Warrior it would be way too OP.

posted a message on New legendaries (card voting), tweet to reveal both early

Does anyone else notice that the pose of the druid legendary is extremely similar to Lord Jaraxxus?

Dare I hope that it has a similar function?

    Quote from Plunderway jump

Are you saying that the ones we've seen so far aren't good?

Because that's the same thing people said about Dr. Balanced before GvG was released.

Actually I'm very happy with the ones we have seen, but I have gotten the sense that a lot of people are bummed that we haven't seen a card that seems to be very powerful on it's own right. And certainly Boom, Sludge, etc. are examples of people being blind even to that fact.

So far almost all of the legendaries I've seen look at least somewhat playable and cards like Saraad and the Valkyrs could definitely contribute to a change in the meta which would be interesting.

posted a message on Unrevealed Legendaries in TGT - How Many Could Be Left?

I know a lot of people are feeling 'meh' about the Legendaries revealed in TGT so far but there is hope!

We've only seen Fizzlebang for the class legendaries and if the card breakdown in TGT is somewhat comparable to GVG then we will probably see about 6 more neutral legendaries also! (GVG had 11 neutral legendaries total.  We have seen 5 in TGT so far if my count is correct).

There could still be a Tirion or Dr. Boom tier legendary amongst the remaining unrevealed ones. I remain optomistic.

posted a message on Possible Release date for The Grand Tournament?

The video doesn't prove anything. So they set the clock to August 24th. Doesn't mean that is the release day. Could have been August 3rd, 10th, or 17th and the game would still show the packs as unlocked on August 24th.

Oh wait in this thread it reads "2 attack" ... on hearthpwn it is 1 ...confused

Yeah I saw it at +1 too.  If it is +2 it will probably see play. +1 would be resigned to the Arena.

posted a message on Future Card Expansions Aimed at New Heroes

I don't know about anyone else but the many other controversies about the new heroes aside they fit a little awkwardly thematically in the current card sets.

An obvious example is a dwarf hero wielding Gorehowl, but even in a class like Hunter so many of the cards seem thematically set around the original hero - Animal Companion for example; Animal companion with Alleria seems weird to me.

Does anyone think that despite the new heroes being a cosmetic piece only future card sets might have cards (weapons for instance) that are thematically more tied to the new heroes?  Honestly, I think that would be kind of cool, even though I'm unlikely to buy more than 1-2 of the new heroes.

posted a message on Unique Heroes/Backs for Decks

I don't think you understand what I mean.  Once you buy Magni, I assume you can use either him or Garrosh when you are playing.  What I was saying is that I hope you don't have to toggle it the way you toggle the card backs because that is a big pain.  It would be ideal if you could select the portrait for the deck you are creating.  That way when you choose a deck in play mode you could choose the control warrior you made with Garrosh portrait or the Patron Warrior deck you made with the Magni portrait (for example).

posted a message on Unique Heroes/Backs for Decks

Now that Blizzard is allowing you to buy new hero portraits I assume that you will have the choice of which hero skin to use when you create a deck.

It would be SUPER annoying if you had to toggle between the 'active' hero portrait like you do with cardbacks.

And honestly, it's LONG overdue that they let you choose a specific card back for every deck you create.  What's the point of having 12+ card backs if you can only use one for all your decks.  This would make me actually care about collecting some of the rarer cardbacks.

posted a message on Grim Warrior OP as hell
    Quote from Cagey75 »

Enjoy it while it lasts. Everyone is expecting the OP, warsong/GP trick now.

I think it's an awful gimmick, warrior players are now just buying time until turn 8 to pull this crap off. Or turn 7 if they get Thaurissan out first. It certainly does NOT require any skill.

Obviously everyone is expecting it. That doesn't mean it can't be effective.

Have to disagree that it is a gimmick. Plenty of pro players are playing this deck in legit tournaments. A gimmick deck is, by definition, something that only has an off chance of winning, not one that can perform up to a solid win rate.
