I just figured I'd post this thread after I got done face smashing my keyboard for fifteen minutes.
Short story, I'm playing a pally control deck...enemy was shaman with gadget auctioneer on the board..he has 4 hp..draws card and takes 3 fatigue damage...1hp. Play bloodlust and I immediately hit concede because I think he has lethal...what I didn't realize was he draws a card from having Gadgetzan on the field..and takes 4 fatigue damage for lethal. I lost because I conceded. FML. What's your hearthstone horror story?
Had the orange glow around a card yesterday.. WOOP! Haven't had one in a good long while. Aaaaaand... golden Millhouse Manastorm. I haven't DE'd him yet before I troll around with it, but my first three matches made me cry a little bit. Hex'd, siphoned and..
I have this gut feeling he will be god one day.

Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.
The only time he's been useful is if I get him turn 2 against aggro warlock, since they usually only run soulfire/occasional mortal coils as spells. Giving opponents free spells mid-late game can easily lead to dying horribly, especially against Druid/Mage. You need to mulligan into him, otherwise he's a dead card, still a gamble, and only 1 in 30 cards, so the chances aren't spectactular. I think he's terrible. Mukla has a much tamer drawback.
Mukla is a poor comparison. Mukla can be made useful based on your cards. If you have silence or removal, the impact of bananas is reduced. If I had to compare his all or nothing attitude would be Deathwing even though they are played at different ends of the game.

Not exactly a horror story but I very nearly blew it in an arena match last night. I had an archmage out and didn't think through that I could play two consecrates along with the minion damage to have lethal on my opponent. Instead I ran out a couple 2 mana minions then one consecrate then looked at my opponents health and swore. I was a 2 health on my hero but he had a cleared board and only 1 card. I ended my turn and proceeded to watch his hero (paladin) equip a weapon and I swore until I saw that it was Sword of Justice. He hit me in the face for one played his minion that luckily did not have charge and summoned a recruit. As close to a disaster as they come.
I conceded as soon as the bloodlust left his hand. It was before he took the fatigue damage. So the concede was before he actually died. It was a terrible moment.
I just had a match where I was going for the kill with Leroy and power overwhelming while at 2 hp, unfortunately my opponent had 2 knifejugglers up that killed me due to the two dragons i spawned for him. :(

What I'm saying is that, you can't concede during the animation, I haven't tested it but I've played the game a lot and as soon as a hero is supposed to die you cannot perform any actions, cards become unplayable and I'm also quite certain you can't concede. Concede always has to wait for the animation and all, but even before this the game has registered that the player has lost.
So you probably misread the board, and he wasn't actually dying.
You can test it yourself I'm almost 100% sure this is how it would work, after bloodlust is played (if he takes fatal damage from any passive effects resolving (Gadgetzan) you have already won the game (meaning you can't concede), it's just a matter of the animation finishing.
You can see the same interaction with knife juggler proccing the last health off a hero.
Playing an arena right now. Lost my first two games because for BOTH games I did not draw a SINGLE one of my 16 cards 1-3 mana by turn 5!!!!
To add insult to injury, my mad bomber just hit me 3 times with 4 enemy targets on board....
Its not even a bad deck, its got earth and fire eles and a legendary but none oft hat matters when you lose on turn 5 without anyone more than totems for 4 turns
I think I just had the most frustrating game I have ever played in my 5months.
Having lethal 5 times throughout a game and every time he had the ONE card to stay alive one more turn...and then lost. Ragnaros hitting the correct target every time zzzzz

Pretty sure that you can't actually concede if he has played a card that will end the game.
