About 2/3 of my games are vs Mage, the rest being of course Huntard, and I'm not doing particularly well against the former with either my Midrange Pala or Midrange Druid.
It seems that if a Mech Mage draws on curve, you basically lose the game, simple as that, doesn't really matter what you do.
Are there any classes that consistently have a good matchup against Mech Mage, and bonus points if it deals ok with the other Mages too?
Control Paladins are very solid against MM. Their weaker mid-game is offset by a very strong early game and late game. They have the board clear to deal with the swarm and some life gain to stabilize and stay out of range for the killing blow.
Shaman does a pretty good job of wrecking mech mage, at least in my experience. Cheap removal, totems, fantastic board clear, and good midrange minions make it a rough matchup for the mage. This is assuming mech mage versus a shaman with haunted creepers and fire elementals, so midrange/control.
It's funny, when Mech Mage first came around I was playing Control Pally like 90% of the time. Everyone was whining about the deck and I thought they must just suck. Turns out Control Paladin just wrecks Mech Mage all day, when I started playing other decks I started to hate mech mage too.
Tempo mage goes over the head of mech mages with some good removal and nice board clears. Zoolock can be a bit more explosive but you have to lean mid-range to avoid fireblast wrecking you. Various variants of Oil Rogue have a pretty great mech match-up.

Really? I'm fighting Hunters. Hunters everywhere.
But I'd say Priest is the best. Anuchei+ Circle of Healing combo is a fantastic wipe, plus all the mechmages have easily stealable minions.
Give it a shot.
I agree with YourDailyDevil. It may not be too consistent , but when it happens, it works, good.
Try out my Resurrect Priest deck!

Nothing doing, traveler.

In conclusion, play Control Paladin.
Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out
I have to say skill hunter is pretty good against mech mage, cause hunter is faster and can usually win the race.

Ugh I hate control Paladin. Hate as in I fully respect them, but damn they can mess you up easy.
Try them if you want a consistent deck that will last you a long while. Plus they'll only get more and more viable with the upcoming dragons.
