Yay!! ANOTHER Zoo QQ thread!! Another thread that ultimately spirals into a pissing contest between folks that seem to think Zoo decks are beneath them and folks that realize Zoo is what it is.
News Flash: Zoo is cheap. Zoo is good. Zoo is fast. Whether it is ranked or casual deal with it like an educated person by mastering the law of averages. Example? If Zoo is 70% of your match ups. Then play the hard counter for a 70% winning streak. Yes folks. It is that easy.
News Flash: If you are in Casual experimenting with a wombo combo deck that requires the perfect draw. Guess what? Nobody cares. It's not required for your opponent to give you a chance to pull that combo off. Casual = Play what you want. It is not an exclusive testing area. People have a right to farm their dailies wherever they want. Go goldfish the AI if can't handle it.
News Flash: You don't like Zoo because you feel it's too easy and mindless? Guess what? Nobody cares! Some people like its play style. Some people like fast games. Some people just like having fun (Winning = Fun). All the crying about Zoo, and talking down on people who play Zoo makes you folks look like uneducated sore losers. As has been stated, Zoo can be beat. There is NO deck that is 100% against all match ups. So start applying some math skillz to your play and stop making useless threads.
If the moderators would be so kind as to start shutting down threads like these. It would be appreciated.
I don't play zoo. I play the easiest deck in the game Druid. However, I assume zoo takes some skill because some players reach legend with it while others can't get past 10 with it. The whole flat earther thing of saying "some players are luckier" is silly.
so given the variance I think it takes some skill. My deck--taunt Druid--is the easiest deck to play in the game. the only reason people dont take to the forums about it is because the games last longer. druid is robotic and once you learn what to do and when to do it...it's autopilot time.
zoo requires players to be adaptive, which makes my 420-non-thinking-lazy-brain have to think.

Have you been watching a lot of Scrubs lately? I feel like your post was inspired by Dr.Cox.
Ok I think this thread got a little off balance. I was simply asking why people played it in casual and I have my answer. Not whining anymore than anyone who makes a simple observation is whining. If you eat cereal 3 times a day 7 days a week, you will get tired of it. That is all people are saying. We all understand that it can be beaten, but a true anti-zoo deck that doesn't require 2-3 specific early cards to win is most likely going to lose to all other decks. The issue is the performance of zoo vs all other decks vs any other deck type vs all other decks. Zoo has the highest win % of any deck in the game against all classes, and it is cheap which can be frustrating to people with 25+ legendaries who have spent $100's of dollars on this game.

I feel that casual is worst than ranked. If I wanna test a fun deck, I have to go in casual, to not lose my rank. In 7 subsequent matches, I played against 4 zoos (2 bots) and 3 hunters. This is psicologically disturbing. It just feels humiliating to concede when I see a hunter or a warlock, because I'm basically giving them 3.3 gold for free.
This is just a complain thread. However, I have a request: does exist a deck that counters 100% only zoo and/or hunter (and don't answer with "the only solution is that you play zoo or hunter yourself, because they are the perfect counters to themselves")? I tried everything, but winning seems only based on my luck.
Then, I think I will try my gimmicky decks in ladder, at least, in there, there is also zoo priest which is something new.
I'm pretty sure when TESTING out "fun decks" you should ALWAYS go casual. thats how things are done in all multiplayer games, you test something out to see if it works or see what changes need to be made to it before using it for real. If you need to guarantee yourself going up against a specific deck to see how it fairs against it, play against a friend.
Casual mode works similarly to ranked, except your rating is hidden. If you're facing a lot of experienced players, that only means you're getting matched up with people who have a similar rating as you.
if you face golden heroes and lose to them, the inevitable result will be a lowering of your rating - and you'll face more opponents of equal skill. With 400 wins, your skill level and rating will still have some parity.
acording to mmr they ARE around your skill ... so either u have psychical block in your mind when u see golden hero and immediately u play worse or u are indeed matcher against "better" players and u will drop in mmr soon and will not get matched vs them so often. lots of ppl go to casual to try out decks or just do fast quest or whatever reason but its pretty much trololo plays most of the time, if u want any kind of consistency just play rankeds ... even if u are not very experienced or dont have cards so what? not like u can loose anything by playin ranked ... either u get to some better rank (which basicly doesnt even matter in the end rly id u dont care about legend rank) or u will be stuck around some particular rank and will be around ppl with supposedly similar skill as u
Maybe he is right about unfair matches in casual mode. In ranked play you will find players with more similar strength than yours. I am a legend player and I play a lot more ranked than casual. Once someone added me after I beated him in casual and started to flame me, and his/her rank was only 16 or so. So it can happen that you face people with golden heroes because they have a low MMR in casual, and the reason of this is that they play more ranked than casual so their rating does not reflect their true skill. You can't blame them though, I also use casual to warm up before I start the grind, or to do some daily quests with classes that are not strong in the current meta. Play ranked, it solves most of these problems.

well ofc it is not 100% accurate but u being legend and oponent being rank 16 isnt impossible that u did have very close mmr so u got matched together in casual
It's possible some of these players were botted accounts. Recently I've faced a handful of golden portraits with 5-10 legendaries in them that clearly didn't know how to play that class, as if someone else had gained the golden portrait for them.

Would be curious to hear a few examples of decks that the whiners think require significantly high levels of skill, and why.

So is it a Zoo players responsibility to make sure P2P players get their money's worth out of this game?

Druids seem to be holding sway currently.

hello everyone
i think there's an issue in this game, i usually face golden heroes in casual mode and thats totally unfair
because my total wins are 400, and the golden heroes i often face has at least 800 total wins
so whats the main reason for that?
i just started to hate this game because of that.
they cant just compare me with a player that has more experience in this game than i do
So, just because a person has spent more time playing than you, he/she is not allowed to test decks in casual?
Casual mode works similarly to ranked, except your rating is hidden. If you're facing a lot of experienced players, that only means you're getting matched up with people who have a similar rating as you.
thats not what i meant
when you click on casual it says " find an opponent of equal skill"
they're way above my skill thats the problem
if you face golden heroes and lose to them, the inevitable result will be a lowering of your rating - and you'll face more opponents of equal skill. With 400 wins, your skill level and rating will still have some parity.

probably bots. who knows.
Im pretty convinced 90% of the people I play against are bots.
I played against a golden priest with a lightning bolt deck. Easy win :p
