I agree. Blizzard is pumping out more content than ever, yet I find most of it unimaginative and bland. Most printed cards are all either powercrept or recycled versions of older cards. It has been a long time since we have seen some game-changing mechanics such as hero cards or quests some years ago. I feel like 'the end' of traditional Hearthstone might be near. There are only so many mechanics which can be added on a game which is relatively simple in nature. Of course, Hearthstone won't die. This game will still exist in 10 years(and probably more) even without new content.
No, not really. Hearthstone was so popular in the beginning because there was no competition at all. Things have changed a lot since then and they lost many people, but their recent decline is quite slow (f.e. twitch viewership in August 2022 was actually a bit higher than in August 2019).
