Fuck everyone, fuck women, fuck people of color, fuck retaliation tactics, fuck accountability, fuck common decency, just give me my shitty digital card!
It's good to see this community is still in top form.
Big B is looking shaky, all this Hatred and Outrage are headed towards the man in the driving seat, hope his resignment from Activi$ion gets announced in the upcoming 72 hours. Guys, this is actually HUGE; I can gladly deal with any card delays for such a fundamental change for Hearthstone's future. The weekly cosmetics greed and disaster modes like Mercenarys NEED to stop and soon.
Blizzard employees walked out, and the shareholders are calling on him to resign. The pressure is on. He'll be out by the end of the week. Delaying card reveals does nothing but hurt the fans.

Except none of those goals are accomplished by refusing to reveal a card. The HS team had nothing to do with this. It's one shitty person who will more than likely be forced out by the investors before the end of the week.

1-They don't want to financially support a company that pulls that shit. Those streamers? Chunks of their ad revenue goes Activision Bobby Kotick. It's unfair that the developers end up being punished, but they get paid either way. The extra money goes exclusively to the dicks in charge.
2-He'll never be forced out. He owns half of his shareholders through threats and retaliation tactics. If you want to hurt him, you hurt his wallet which is the point of the boycott, and something people like you undermine because you don't give a fuck about anything or anyone other than your shitty digital card game.

If a protest didn't inconvenience anyone, then it wouldn't be much of a protest.
Unless you agree with the act that's being protested, if your anger is directed at the protestor (in this case the streamers), then you're completely missing the point.

Then those streamers should quit HS and play another game. I know Alliestraza protested her card reveal and was back to posting HS streams a few days later, raking in the dough. They're making money off of HS, and will continue to make money off of HS, so they don't sacrifice anything by "protesting" this. The only people that suffer are the fans and the developers of the game.
Kotick is a slimeball. We get it. People are adult enough to choose whether or not to support Blizzard on their own. Someone wanting more information about a game they like aren't saying F- minorities or women simply because a shitty CEO doesn't make them want to drop a game.

Not me lol.
Can't speak for the rest of the dipshits here, even going so far as to boycott the boycotters. Because fuck basic human dignity, shitty card game NOW!

People can do whatever they want - if people want to boycott the game, fine, do it. If people want to boycott the people boycotting, jesus fucking christ they can do that too if they really felt like it.
People as a whole will never agree on anything, if we all collectively online decided to stop spending time and money on this game to "show them how we feel about all this" there will still be tons of people that didn't get the memo or still don't care. How can you force them?
Now we need life police to make sure people are doing things that follow what others think and feel?
They can pull that crap once for awareness, which they did back then. Now we all know, it's impossible not to! Again, this is pointless slacktivism. You're not changing shit here. All you're doing is putting people off and make them not care about your cause.
The fact that you are still here and play Blizzard games makes all your grandstanding meaningless, too. Just FYI.

Post Was Warned for Trolling
I get both bundles, best price for cards, shiny cards and heroes and usually gets day 1 complete set with the gold from the last expansion. Now if it pisses off trolls that post straw man false equivalencies in the name of being woke, my only regret is there isn’t a third bundle.

If the fact that a protest angers you to the point of being apathetic, or even sympathetic to the act being protested, then you either never cared about the act to begin with, or you're easily swayed by your emotions.
That aside, that so many are getting worked up over this (again) is absolutely fascinating. I could understand anger over the expansion itself being delayed.. which it is not; the streamers have no power over that.. but to get so frothy about not seeing -a single card-.. and again, not -having-.. just not -seeing-.. ahead of time. It reminds me of toddlers screaming in the candy aisle at the grocery store. Is your sense of instant gratification THAT huge?
..and on top of all that, let's remind ourselves that Blizzard ultimately controls these reveals. There is absolutely nothing stopping Blizzard from revealing a card themselves if a streamer "goes rogue". Hell, why did they even go to streamers again after what happened last time if this was such a big issue?

You're mixing up anger and annoyance. Also see my point about your pointless grandstanding. Nobody takes you serious if you're still here.
Wow, refusing to reveal your digital card? People here acting like they are saving the world and ending sexism by doing this little protest and then coming back a few days later to keep doing the same thing as before. Congratulations! You get a gold star. We saw this exact thing happen last time and what exactly did it accomplish? Just reveal the card so i can get on with life, I don't really care for your politics. Hypocrites.

so to those that say its meaningless grandstanding/slacktivism: Are you annoyed? Then it was a successful protest. An emotional response was elicited. Now, how you channel that response? That's all on you.
To those who say it's being hypocritical (of the streamers): Yeah, probably, particularly the ones that continue to stream Hearthstone after (at least without explaining why they continue to do so). This, however, doesn't really detract from the above point.
To those implying players or people posting on Hearthpwn are being hypocritical: there are degrees of supporting a protest. Publicly agreeing with the message (while still playing the game or even spending money on it) is probably the weakest form of support, but its still a show of support. Just because you're not marching to Irvine to burn Blizzard down doesn't mean you don't support the message.
To those saying nothing will change because of it: insofar as Bobby getting fired? Not happening. As I posted earlier the BoD already released a statement of support for him. As far as any impact at all? Well, think for a moment why Blizzard is even letting streamers do card reveals in the first place. It is because Blizzard values the demographics of those that view those streams. As much as even the term "influencer" triggers my gag reflex, these streamers hold sway over their viewers, and said viewers are likely going to largely support the streamers' viewpoints (else they wouldn't be viewers anymore). Blizzard -does- pay attention to this. There's an entire department at ActiBlizz whose job is to pay attention to this. Just the simple fact that they're letting streamers do reveals AGAIN after last time proves this. Now as far as -how much- impact comes from this? Well, that's up to Blizzard, innit? That's a calculation they have to make based on how much they value that demographic.
