I generally play Quest Druid and a kind-of budget one. Rez Priest (with quest or not) is one of the toughest decks I ever have to face, but I still win ~40% of the time.
I don't go face unless you can deliver 15+ damage in one turn so that at least he can't efficiently use his Khartut Defenders. I never overextend but I still need to build a medium sized board that threatens such a damage 7-8 times in the game. 2-3 are gone to the board clears and the rest are gone hitting those resurrected Infiltrators. Eventually if it all goes well I'll start gaining board control when I'm down to my last few cards (and probably already taking fatigue damage) and with a bit of luck (a lucky resurrect for me) I'll score the kill. It felt particularly satisfying this one time when it was one of the 1/1 Albatrosses that entered by deck that delivered the final kill :)
It just takes lot of skill to play against it and it is relatively easy to play the priest side. But I have to say I enjoy those battles a lot more than facing a face hunter where it is 99% luck w.r.t. to card draw and it is over either way by turn 6
What I dont understand is why are priests allowed to have so many board clears. How is the new 4 mana, destroy all minions with more than 5 attack even that low on cost? In a class that excels in clears. It's just one mana more from the prenerf version of SWD.
Because they originally didn’t. Blizz fucked up by making it so they had none and suffered for it originally. Now they give them one every expansion practically.
They were given two this expansion.
Though. The problem isnt their board clears. Its the ambiguity of the entire res mechanic, in addition to how powerful their quest reward is, while having such a generic criteria.
They need to rework the quest to "buff X health on minions", to force Priests to take deck slots to use on their actual class focus.
They also need to modify the res mechanic to specify attack/health/mana cost ranges, in order to allow Priests to include weaker bodied cards that dont ruin their res cards.
i don't understand ppl playing this deck, really .. it is the most boring deck out there since HS came out
you know that people are different, someone may like it and others don’t. Play what you like, I do so myself at least. As a priest player, there are lots of deck that I do not like to play against. But still, I do not come whine here.
I agree. DH was broken. But at least by 12 p.m today I was tired of playing against them and even playing mine. But Everytime I see a priest I know it's a pointless fight. He's going to have the perfect roll. I don't have time for it. Even a fair majority of streamers instant concede against them.(obviously for the long gameplay and terrible content.) It's just ridiculous that blizz has kept this archetype alive since about 2016
You mad? Salty boy.

As someone who avoided playing rez priest before this expansion, i'll stop playing it when 80% of the decks i encounter are not Demon Hunter anymore.
Well that should be very soon, they're losing a good bit of popularity. Mainly to a warlock with 3 different cards from this expansion.
