What if you could trade in (x) of cards per season [edit] to Blizzard – not to another player account[edit]? I'm thinking it's an equal-or-lesser-value trade scheme. To keep Blizz happy, limit it to 1-3 cards per season, but I think it would make players very happy (SOMEthing would be better than nothing).
Drew that terrible legendary... trade it for the one you need. Drew 5 of the same epic... trade them in for ones you didn't get. REALLY want that golden legendary but (like me), you drew Harbinger Celestia... now you can have it without selling your organs on ebay to afford enough cards to get it.
It rewards long time players (play more seasons = trade to get the cards you want). It helps new and FtP players (don't have the cards you need to get a deck off the ground = trade for that deck to see so you can play more competitively).
I don't think it would substitute for buying packs. Yes, it would probably cut into Blizzard's bottom line a little bit (which is why they won't do it), but if it's limited enough, I think they could see a net benefit by attracting and retaining more new players.
Again, just a fun idea. Thoughts about the concept (not if Blizzard will implement it or not)?
It would encourage people to create alt account where they will grind for a good legendary and then trasfer it to their main account.
To clarify, I'm talking about trading it to a centralized Blizzard store not with another account. Also, why would I grind a different account? I grind for good legendaries with my current account ;)

You can allready do that... you can dust your cards, and get new cards in return...
Also the better you do on ladder the more you can disenchant and get the cards you need... rank 5 gives you 500 dust worth of cards to d.e.

This sounds alot like the Auction House from the good old Diablo days.
Yes, but the dusting economy is so imba.
Yes, the laddering is one good reward system. Should it be the only one?
reward system... also you have Arena

Yeah, your suggestion is literally the existing Crafting system, but where the player gets a bit of extra free dust.
You may have added some (unnecessary) bells and whistles, but in practical terms, that's what it boils down to.
