I kinda stopped playing for the last 2 months because mage was in a pretty lame state (I don't care for murloc decks) and the other classes I play didn't have much in the way of competitive and fun. Hero power mage looks to be very interesting, especially given how strong odd paladin and other token type decks are currently and the new legendary looks really fun. Too soon to tell how effective it will be but I'm excited nonetheless. Discard lock has always been a goofy kind of fun deck but never competitive for obvious inconsistency reasons. Now though, with quite a few good discard targets and a reliable way to retrieve them and the existence of the warlock quest, perhaps we'll actually see a competitive true discard lock deck. Again it's too soon to tell but these 2 decks right now are at the top of my craft list.
I am acutally happy about those vibes here, hoping they pan out. I can't take another round of odd pala, zoo lock, even lock, druid. Boomsday didnt shake up the meta enough...
That's also why I am cateful about those new archetypes. I am having a hard time imagining a warlock stronger than the ones already in place. Same with pala, since paladin has been like that since koft.
My hope goes to dragon warrior, but I am afriad that this is a fluke like basically the mech theme last expansion.
I had a pretty good run with my odd mage deck (before Mana wyrm Nerf). Pyromaniac, Janalai, and daring fire eater are all going to be amazing in odd mage. Particularly fire eater. A three Mana, deal 4 damage to face or minion is good. And it leaves a 1/1 on the board. It's a burst of fire power for a deck that lacks fireball.

Yeah that's what hurt odd mage was all of the good mage spells being even cost. I'm curious as to what new cheap speels we are getting given they felt the need to nerf Mana wyrm

Add to this list The Marsh Queen with the new 3/4 beast guy! This expansion hypes me a lot more than the last 2-3 did
I'm more excited to see if Dragon warrior will actually be a thing with what we've seen so far.. We still need some dragons though

Occasionally gives helpful advice.
I am excited to try discardlock again, but have a feeling some of these new cards are actually just going to tweak zoo around.
