So Blizzard just announced their big bot ban. The thousands of offenders they have caught are now banned until January, and anyone else caught from here on out is perma-banned. However, the botters get to keep all of their earning during their botting period.
Did Blizzard get this right? If not, what could they have done to improve?
3 month ban for a start is good, can't really perma-ban without a "warning"
They get to keep everything - this bit hurts. I get that some of the botters payed for their cards, so it is a bit of a sticky issue (even though the EULA covers Blizz's rear pretty well). Middle ground that would have been much better, let them keep the gold and cards, but strip them of their golden heroes and card backs

Hey everyone,
As GunsNMuffins stated, we already have a thread open for bot discussion. The ban wave should be discussed there. Thanks!
