Guise I don't think it is a Lightbomb effect he is proposing. Lets say a minion has 7 attack and 6 health, then it would deal 5 damage because 7-6 is 1 and 6-1 is 5. At least I think thats what he meant. Really difficult to word that elegantly, but could be a cool effect.
Yes this is exactly what I meant! I know it's difficult to word, but I think it is a much better effect and can open the door to more cards being played in the future and not killed right away by a 3 mana card...you at least need more than 1 card to deal with them.
I think you mean: BGH reads: "If a minion has attack greater than 7 deal damage equal to its ATTACK" cause if it did damage equal to the target's health it'd kill it... like it does now, haha.
That being said I think that'd be a decent change. Give some of the weaker legendaries a chance to shine while still taking out the "usual suspects". I always thought as a "Big Game Hunter" he should only kill dragons, beasts and giants with his battlecry but then cards like Dr. Boom and Rag would get a free pass and that's half the reason people run him right now, haha.
Long story short I approve.
I fucked up...I meant "If a minion has attack greater than 7 deal damage equal to its health minus the difference between its attack and health" But this may be too confusing...I just wnated a way for some of the unplayable creatures to be played
I must be a complete idiot, but if you deal damage equal to somethings health... wouldn't that kill it?

I think this would be a great change to the card.
1) It addresses the problem Kibler pointed out, if Warlock gets giants out early you can still deal with them efficiently.
2) It will still kill most of the current annoying minions like Dr. Boom, Ragnaros, etc.
3) It allows for "shitty, unplayable cards" to at least have a chance. Cards like Mogor, Thermaplugg, The beast, Majordomo to have a chance to be played and not auto-lose when they are dropped.
4) It allows future game design to be based around this card as well. They can introduce bigger minions that will actually see play without fear of dying instantly and losing the game. The cost will be the big minons have lower HP after getting BGH and since it's a 3 mana card they can use other cards to get rid of the creature - not just one 3 mana card that creates a HUGE tempo swing.
What do you guys think? Is this legit?
EDIT: I fucked up...I meant "If a minion has attack greater than 7 deal damage equal to its health minus the difference between its attack and health" But this may be too confusing...I just wanted a way for some of the unplayable creatures to be played
