Eh, despite the strength of Aggro Paladin, I've never had an issue with it.
They do have to make trades and interact with the other player, they don't have charge minions or face damage spells. It's not as mindless as other Aggro decks (Hunter/Mage/Pirate Warrior of old), when you finally stabilize the board, they'll top deck that Kill Command, Fireball, Mortal Strike.
And it's very much a "rock, paper, scissors" deck where some match ups are almost instant-win and others are instant-lose. I wish I was seeing only Aggro Paladins. I'd then play a counter deck.
Also, how do you suggest it's nerfed? There's no one card making it so powerful. Originally it was Call to Arms, if that's nerfed, then what? Baku Paladin is still around.
Why? Aggro pally is so easy to beat. Just like last expansion and every expansion before, aggro paladins stats are strange. They seem super high but in practice the deck doesn't feel overpowered to play or play against. Taunt druid, control warrior, various rogue decks, warlock all beat up paladin pretty easily.
so we're complaining about aggro pally instead of shudder shaman now, eh? how times change. and by that i mean what a waste of time and space this thread is.
Just change Divine Favor to something else. Everything else in the deck is fair.
Divine Favor is an absolutely bullshit card that needs to be completely reworked.
It's perfectly OK for a deck to tap it's hero power for draw while using cheap healing but Divine Favor is OP.
It's perfectly OK for a Priest to keep buffing it's fucking cleric to fill his hand but Divine Favor is OP.
It's totally cool to drop an Acolyte and use a bunch of "Do 1 damage" methods to draw cards but Divine Favor is OP.
The people who whine about this card are the same ones who get butt hurt over the fact that it can match their card draw. Divine Favor is OP. I don't see anyone crying over Mages using a secret that adds 2 copies of a card directly to their hand. Did you know Divine Favor is OP? I don't see anyone caring much about that little Druid card that stuffs his hand either because Divine Favor is OP.
It's a dead card half the time anyway, even in an aggro deck. It's also a core card. Deal with it.
I don't even play aggro Pally but I'm about to just to spite this awful topic and the idiotic reasoning behind it. There are far worse issues with the game than Aggro Pally. I just lost to a Baku Huntard in about 5 turns and people think Aggro Pally is a problem. You can't beat Cubelock unless you have a deck stuffed with 20 different AoE but Aggro Pally is an issue. I won't even talk about Shaman.
Divine favor in an aggro deck is worse than starving buzzard pre nerf. They don't give hunter good draw because it's op, how is the best draw in the game for aggro not a problem in aggro pally?
The situation is not even remotely close to druid. Druid (or shaman) had no bad matchups. The issue is that the control decks that are heavily favoured against it get destroyed by quest rogue so the meta gets skewed towards aggro because control players dont want to play into that shit
There is a difference between former OP decks and Aggro Paladin. Of course people play it because most players are casual that want quick games without much thinking. That divides into every ranked section because it still takes a different level of knowledge to be succesful.
What I meant though, there are a lot of decks that can counter Aggro Paladin. I don't understand the high win rate at all (probably because low level sections etc).
Yes, you have to play counters, but most meta decks right now counter them. But that is how the SSP system works.
Never had any problem against pala. Not with shaman, not with priest, not with mage, not with hunter and not with druid. play a 3 mana taunt- win the game.

The problem with Aggro Paladin is what are you going to nerf? Changing mana costs will just flip the card between genn and Baku decks. Every single card besides genn and Baku in each deck can be easily replaced, so the only fix is to change genn and Baku which seems impossible to me without creating an extra restriction on them which makes them useless in any other class.
You should full expect Aggro Paladin in every meta for the next 2 years.
If you change call to arms to 5 it will flip to odd pala but it would recluit cost 1 minions. That's what we call a nerf.

heavily agree with this statement. every agro deck would have this opportunity if it wasn't meant to be broken. it's not even an argument of 'flavor' like many people try to claim.
Paly has so many broken stuff - be it in Wild or Standard: Call to Arms (should cost 6) Divine Favor (you can potentially draw 9 for 3 mana what the heck???) Mysterious Challenger (still op, not broken) Shielded Minibot (a 2/2 turn 2 with shield... with no silence it's worth 4/2..) Muster for Battle (card is worth 4 mana imo) Sun Keeper Tarim (should cost 8) Baku power (2x 1/1 are too sticky, prepare for a quartermaster turn 5)
So basically everything from paly is op, 55.2% winrate in hsreplay.net on average on wild (42% for warrior...).

While Baku and Genn introduce nice element with deck building, Start of Game effect is just huge problem (see: Patches)

No I'm saying that there does exist tools in the current card pool, so stop saying there isn't.
