^^^^ i hope you're from the future and correct. can't wait for this man :D and i seen some post around Hearthpwn showing that most of the Blizzard releases are Tuesday-Thursday. Except for one 1 title not 100% sure but i seen it somewhere :D
What is worrying me is the fact that I understood a part of what she said on the livestream that they are going to do more live streams and I mean... If there's beta... Will they still do live streams? Probably there will be lots of others doing live streams and videos on it so that's why I'm afraid that more live streams equals no beta.
I don't think anything compares to the entertainment value of watching cm_zeriyah getting by her co-workers :p
Seems to me that if Beta were so close, they would have given keys out at the fan site event last week. And I didn't see anything about anyone getting keys. If they had given keys, that would have been the first thing reported.
Late to the party, but I believe, and really really hope, that the beta is next week. The game looks pretty well polished and releasing those UIs for everything looks great. The next step for Blizzard would be to test out what kind of decks and cards the public will use and abuse right? *wink wink*
Yeah, Curse Hearthstone rep James mentioned on one of the Fireside Chats that it seems to be that what's pushing back the Beta is the Forge. I guess they really want to try to get the game as complete as possible before pushing out Beta. If that's the case, then unfortunately it's anyone's guess as to when it will be, because from what I've read and what I can tell, they seemed to be really torn as to how exactly to implement the Forge. They want it to have the following features:
Random cards
Fair balance
There must be stakes
Regarding the "stakes," they want you to not just play the Forge with nothing to lose and everything to gain, they want there to be some sort of sacrifice. They want to capture that excitement that comes from a booster draft, without people just queuing up and buying in to hand-pick their cards from the booster packs purely in the interest of taking them home, and with zero interest in winning. It seems to be a really, really tough system to iron out, given that they aren't implementing a classic TCG sealed booster draft, but rather inventing an entirely new system.
Personally, I wish they'd just release the Beta and implement the Forge in a later patch.
Christina is back from holidays. CMs at Blizzard obviously can't take time off right just before, during, or after launch, so I'd say... Beta in a couple of weeks... Will probably launch on a weekday so that techies are in the office to fix stuff... Say a Monday or a Tuesday... Alright, I'll commit to the bet!
Tuesday 30th of July! You heard it here first, people!
PS: before you ask, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

I wish we had beta but unfortunatally not. Cockatrice the card game simulator is all we have right now.
Let me change your mind
I am hoping the beta will start soon during the summer, before school starts back up. Fingers crossed!
After watching the latest Fireside Chat I came off with the impression that it very well may be this week or the next.

I, like thousands of others are eagerly awaiting this game to come out! Pretty much soaked up all the content, just want to get stuck in!
