As you know, Blizzard left some clues on what the three expansions this year were gonna be:
The leaves with the paper being a blurred volcano was Un'goro, and the icy runes was Frozen Throne, so what do you think the third one is. Bearing in mind the third one is also gonna be an Adventure-Expansion hybrid, so there's gonna be single player missions tied to it. Let's look at the clues.
In front is a bag full of gold coins, while the blurred image on the paper is of massive pile of treasure. So the expansion is most likely gonna be themed around some kind of treasure hunting. Now this leads me to two possible theories: The first is we're gonna get another League of Explorers type of Adventure, with more ancient temples from the Warcraft lore to explore. The second idea, is it's gonna be a pirate themed expansion set in the South Seas. The adventure will be about helping some pirates find treasure, with the cards being themed around the many aspects of the Southseas. Now myself I've always wanted a Pirate themed adventure, and for an idea of what we could expect from one, I made some cards here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/fan-creations/187973-raiders-of-the-southseas-a-hearthstone-adventure however I don't think they will do a Pirate themed expansion because of one reason, and one reason alone: Mean Streets of Gadgetzan. That expansion left a sour taste in everyone's mouths because of the pirates it added, most notably Patches the Pirate. But if they did add a Pirate themed expansion then what I think is they would try to rework the tribe's identity. I'm talking about control pirates, Pirates designed for the other non-weapon classes that aren't cancer.
Who knows. What do you think the third expansion is gonna be?
i think they wouldn't redesign pirates around non-weapon classes, Pirates and weapons go too way together, whenever we wished for useful pirates we didn't realize that weapons were such a borken burn mechanic (we had long forgottten the pre-nerf eaglehorn bow)
I'm sticking with my idea of it being the Darkmoon Faire just because those could be Darkmoon Tokens.
This makes a lot of sense! I also think those coins are associated with Trade-Prince Gallywix so it could be goblin/goblin starting island (Kezan?) edit: Kezan was also a volcano?? seen behind the treasure!
Although this is doubtful since we've already had GvG. I want a Dalaran themed xpac, but I don't think the coins make sense for that.
I'm thinking Booty Bay, because I remember seeing a pile of gold watched over by that one sea-giant. the pirate-theme would certainly fit in, as well as perhaps Zanzil's minions or Zul'Gurub in general.
Honestly, I would really, really like a Troll-focused expansion, maybe centered around Zul'Aman or Zul'Farrak, with the various Loa's being a legendary for each class.
It would be funny to see the design team's reaction IF infact it is pirate-themed. I hope it isn't though, because the balance team would guaranteed ruin it and buff the absolute piss out of PW.
One of the first panels during BlizzCon is going to reveal the next Hearthstone expansion! Right after World of Warcraft has their special announcement, the Hearthstone - What's Next panel takes place. The panel will run from 1:45PM - 2:30PM PDT on Friday, November 3rd.

Well last year, Karazhan had a lost of Dragons because they wanted to make Dragon decks viable one last time before BRM would rotate out. So it isn't out of the question they want to give Pirates a place in the sun one last time.
i don't think it'll be pirates because of golakka crawler, an expansion full of pirates would mean every deck has 2 golakkas. And can you imagine control pirates with crabs around? a 7 mana legendary pirate cucked by a 2 mana crab? no

Actually, if you look closely, each have a "1" engraved into it. That makes them even MORE token-like.
only mid year expansions have adventures, isnt it?

If they do pirates let's not repeat the same mistakes

Huh, I just noticed that pile of gold is actually the same as in Blingtron 3000 card art.
Well last year, Karazhan had a lost of Dragons because they wanted to make Dragon decks viable one last time before BRM would rotate out. So it isn't out of the question they want to give Pirates a place in the sun one last time.
I hope not though...

I've played so much Dungeons and Dragons recently that my first thought was
"A Dragon must have gathered that gold!" Then I figured
"wow! Maybe we finally will see Deathwing in the game!"
Then another thought hit me
"Wait... This isn't Heroes of the Storm. This game already has two Deathwings..."
And my last thought:
"Do even dragons hoard gold in the warcraft universet?"
I think I should put my thoughts elsewhere.
