So back in pre-standard format i piloted a secret pally deck to legend for the first time (mainly to get the nice card back). This month I have piloted an aggro shaman to rank 5 (though i'm sure i could bring it to legend). Due to legend only giving one extra gold common, i will not likely go to legend this month. MY question is this "which deck was more powerful relative to its time?" I feel like aggro shaman has more potential for wins in this meta, but overall is not as flexible as secret pally was. What do you guys think?
Secret Pally is easier to tech against, especially with using Eater of Secrets.
Shaman is harder because they have access to all the spells that can deal damage directly to face.
Did you read the thread at all? He's asking about relative power. Eater of secrets wasn't a card when secret pally was dominant.
Aggro Shaman is fairly easy to tech against. They no longer have crackle and have more minions now, so hard removal for flamewreath and taunts and harrison jones will all throw a wrench into their plans. Unless they draw both lava bursts their spell pressure is fairly limited, it's really the rockbiter that seals it for them.
