It's true. Blizz is blathering about making the game more newbie friendly, but they don't do the easiest: reduce the crafting cost of commons to 25, and rares to 50.
I think the cards removed in standard should have there cost to craft reduced by 1/4th so that we don't all have to feel so bad about disenchanting cards from those sets.
Im fine with disenchant costs. If you wanna play good decks you can disenchant all your useless cards. I was able to collect all usable cards that i could now play any deck in 5 months time using this method

That would make GvG and Naxx decks easier to acquite than standard decks. Newbies would now play 250 dust mech mages in wild.
Not that this is a bad thing, i'm just trying to explain why this is a "aint gonna happen"

Especially since Blizz wants to push new players towards standard!
Disenchanting gives minimal dust so that people will actually spend money on packs. If everyone could get enough dust off quest rewards to make basically any deck they wanted right away, virtually no one would spend any money on the game.

Enough said, really. Blizzard is not a charity. Hearthstone has a very fair business model, you can play a lot of competitive decks without spending any money at all. But they still need to have an incentive to develop the game, and that incentive is money.
My guess, I'm probably one of hundreds who have said this already, but the amount of arcane dust you get from a disenchant is just ridiculous.
It should be double if not quadruple the return for a disenchant.
Eight commons disenchanted to make one? That's milking the cash cow pretty hard.
Alright I feel better now, thanks. :-)

I think the crafting system is really fair in HS. I've played other games without a crafting option at all, you just have to keep drawing and hoping.

I think it's pretty ok. It's long at the start, but it's manageable.

It's how they get you hooked. Give you a little taste then bump up the price and tell you the gold standard is where the really good shit is.
Or am I thinking of something else?
