I'd really like to play Hunter but I have no interest in the horrible aggro archetypes, so i was thinking of how to continue buffing control Hunter so that it's viable on the ladder.
So here's a legendary beast that is like Maexxna but it can't be removed by spells, so if you taunt it up with Sunfury/Argus/Houndmaster then it will force the opponent to trade a couple of minions into it. It is, however, vulnerable to silence and weapons.
Flavour wise, Evermaw is a rare elite that spawns in the Timeless Isle. It will not aggro toward players but if they come into range of it's jaws then they are instantly killed. Hence the card text.
I don't think this should be a legendary. Running 2 instead of one might truly push for a more control-like hunter. Besides, that way it is more reliable

I wonder if the fact you could only run one of these would justify bringing the cost down to 5 mana? That's minimum 7 mana combo to activate.. Yeah I think that might be ok.
this would be good in magic, where you can block. however in Hearthstone this card is way to combo orientated to work. you just put taunt in the card, but then TBK wants to say hello.

This is exactly why you would want to be able to run 2 (too many two's in this sentence)
So, without taunt givers like Houndmaster this card does nothing, and even if you taunt this, after silence it is just 1-attack minion. Meh. Maexxna is better than this, just because you can use her ability without taunt givers,
So, there's a lot wrong with this card. Stats-wise, it's terrible because its 4 mana worth of stats as is, on a 6 mana card. Poison effect (as I call what Emperor Cobra [/card]and [card]Maexxna do) is worth 1 mana. Therefore, you are missing at least 1 mana worth of stats.
Except it can't attack, Which is worth 2 mana. It's also a legendary, worth .5 mana, but we'll ignore that because of spell resistance. Therefore, Evermaw as shown is 3 mana less efficient than what it should be. Make it a 4/12 and I think it's balanced, if still not great.

Any good?

Ok perhaps the cost really needs to come down due to the combo requirement and inability to attack, even to 4? 1/7 for 4?
I don't think you can really criticise it for being weak to TBK. All taunts are weak to TBK.

It's just a shittier Maexna. Not being able to attack makes it worthles even in control decks,

So.. Maxenna, which is already not that great of a card, minus one attack point and can't attack at all? Yeah pass.
Hearthstone...I play that.
Music...I make that.
Youtube...I have that.
