it's interesting subject and i just came up with something while creating a card for the reddit thread "make your username as hearthstone card" anyway feel free to post ur anti-dragon cards here and comment on the already posted ones.
Edit: Since i realize how strong discard mechanic can be i added a drawback to the card, so this is the new version (now weak to BGH)
"Discarding a dragon" is enough, but then having the potential to then have effectively a pyroblast is absolutely ludicrous. Soon people won't even be running Azure Drakes for christ sakes.

wanted to post this one in the weekly design competition but i see i'm a bit late.
feels kinda OP so i guess the stats can be worked on.
okay guys i do realize the card is OP, but we are talking concept here (i can edit stats/effect anytime, but i believe if anti-dragon card is created it should work with discard mechanic becouse it is the opposite of "holding a dragon" one) i will adjust the stats/battlecry a bit but the concept stays the same.. this card can be considered as "tech" if dragon decks become very popular, not as a card you want to run otherwise. also i don't see anyone posting his ideas, but rather people only telling me how broken my card is (and i created the thread to post your anti-dragon card ideas)

Well u started this thread with VERY bad example, so u will have to endure criticism for a while, until someone joins u and take "the heat" out of u :) I dont plan to create anti-dragon card any time soon, so it wont be me, sry :P
btw if u want a "construcite" feedback: i personaly HATE discarding cards for opponent, but even if we consider such a thing, u cant be serious to price it at 1 mana ... acutally less ten one mana, like -5 mana, since your battlecry includes 1-10 random TARGETED dmg. Just craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy. This card would have to be like 2/2 to be "balanced".

at the moment of your post this card was already changed so you might wanna check the new version

That is much better, but u can still just target some little crap or damaged minion or just take a hit to face etc., still too strong. I can see this being close to balanced at 4/5 with the new effect. It will still destroy opponents dragon, which lets be honest is gona be worth 4-10 mana and u will get the information of what dragon that probably was, since u will know the cost.
i want it to be weak to BGH so it's easy to get rid of. also this card wont be played in aggro decks so you will barely have little crap to target (you will most likely kill your belcher/shredder/sylvanas(yay) or take the damage to the face) i agree on 5 health tho i will try to make it closer to balanced, but i wont give up on the discard concept for anti-dragon tech cards
Might be more balanced if HE took the damage for their mana cost. Discarding something from hand is very powerful so I think it'd be a good counter measure. If you pop their crappy 2 mana dragon... hey, you've still got a 7/3 left and they're down a card but if you discard their Ysera your dragon would kill itself in the process... which is still more than worth it to deny them card advantage and any benefit they coulda gotten.
Most of the BIG dragons (8-10 mana) are worth that much because they all generate an effect that causes immediate value on top of their hefty body (Ysera's dream cards, Alex's battlecry, Ony's, Deathwing's). To deny both the body AND the immediate value they usually give when played would need more of a drawback in my opinion.

Time is money, friend.
Maybe deal dmg to a minion not a character?
Hearthstone should not, and most likely will not, have any "make opponent discard cards" mechanics. Fel Reaver is as far as they will go.
Also, OP as hell. 6/6 for 7 with minimum 2-damage battlecry? And reliable 4-5 damage? Thats insane.
"Discarding a dragon" is enough, but then having the potential to then have effectively a pyroblast is absolutely ludicrous. Soon people won't even be running Azure Drakes for christ sakes.
uhmmmm... no.
Only because I love Dark Souls.
Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out

Like the card though! Cool concept.
i think rend is meant to be anti dragon. his mechanic is much simplier
