Hi, I'm Troy. I play Magic and HS obsessively, it drives my family nuts! I study environmental science at WWU and love game theory (they don't offer it as a major here). Yep!

yep just bounce em back to your hand or reanimate if ur a shaman,
but i have a lot of times wished that if you silence a silenced card it becomes unsilenced :P
lol that would be so complicated though

some of the very powerfull legendaries have silence as one of their only big weakness really, especially those that cant get BGH'ed. Think Tirion, Sylvanas, KT, Sneed's, Grom or Cairne (which is not being played right now because yeti stats sux). If you slam Sylvanas when you're behind on board against an opponent that cant flood the board with a lot of little useless minions, being able to unsilence ur sylvanas would be way too powerfull. If ur opponent isnt playing Harrisson, unsilencing ur Tirion is like way too big as well.
U need to bait those silence before playing those big legendaries or accept losing value on them if u couldnt bait the silence (especially against droods which always have two silences).
+ I think it would be a very cheesy way to play. Would you play around unsilencing? Only if your opponent has one. Who would have those? It's like Mechmage playing with an extra pyroblast. It's a bad card, ur deck isnt supposed to go to turn 10. But nobody will play around it, so because it's bad it will win you games for sure. I would feel bad losing against someone that unsilenced his legendaries, this add too much unpredictability to the game (there is a lot of unpredictability already with legendaries such as black knight and Harrisson).
When playing on ladder at the moment u need to make a certain amount of calls (does he run combo, does he have harrisson/black knight and so on). Having to make one more call about unsilencing would make the ladder too volatile i think.
Too complicated. What happens if it gets buffed or altered after the silence? Can it be re-silenced? What happens if it gets un-silenced again? A lot to consider in 90 seconds.

could have been a cool think in druids e.g. if instead of the possibility of 2 damage the keeper of the grove was silence a minion or remove silence from a minion. The only issue would be e.g. in preist where a minion can have several buffs before being silenced what state would unsilenceing it return it to? i mean having valens chosen and +2 health/ inner / double health all on one minion, that obviously required a silence but then if it were unsilenced what state would it return to? especially if it also had some form of enrage/gain attack or health affect that was activated.

Tip: Ask your girlfriend to open your packs... 3 Golden Legendary cards including sylvanas and a normal thalnos in her first 4 packs... And she averages a legend in every 15 packs (almost twice as good as average)

Does this sound like a good idea to anyone else?

There have been threads on this idea in the past. Some people like it. Some people don't.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Reincarnate does the job, as well as one of my concept card.
P.S. Tirion Fordring sends his regards.
That's only if you're playing Shaman though.

The new effect would be so situational unless you attach it to "silence" as mentioned above with the double silence cancel
I love scrubs
