I think there was some definite bias towards this nerf as the card was NOT that good at all, definitely did not need a nerf.
First of all he is listed as a Legendary meaning he should be better than Expert cards.Well as was the prior he was a card that based on % might draw 2 cards every 3-4 turns, really not that brilliant for Legendary.Ok the problem is that he is not surviving 4 turns, the maximum you wil lget is usually 1 card.So you have a Legendary card drawing 1 card for 2 mana, definitely not a Legendary card in my books or anyone else with reasoning.
Ok so i tried to establish that he was just an average legendary.
As is now he is 100% useless, not even an expert rated card because having tried him over and over,he does NOT survive even 1 turn unless you were lucky to draw him early which is a 4/30 chance, very low odds.If you did get lucky ,he won't attempt to draw a card until turn 3-4,no way he survives beyond that.
So now he is a Legendary that Might draw one card for 2 mana, lmao, not sure if i would even put it in my deck if it was a guarantee 1 draw, because we already have other more useful 1 card draws.Bottom line is their nerf lowered him well below a Legendary and barely an expert card.
Well I agree on some of your points but not all. First of all, the reason the trusty fisherman was even nerfed is because he was in almost EVERY competitive deck. Seriously, if you looked back then around ranks 1-5, you would not go a game without seeing him because he was so good. Also this is Blizzard we are dealing with, anything that becomes remotely popular or good, they WILL find it and use their 5 second logic to change the card. Just look at some other cards that weren't necessarily "overpowered" but they still decided to change anyway. Blood Imp, Argus, Dark Iron Dwarf.. Hell even Tinkmaster.
The reason these cards were nerfed was because they were in almost every deck and Blizzard wants to see variety in decks. Dark Iron dwarf isn't in every deck now, but it's still played. I'm almost positive someone will find use of the what seems to be useless Tinkmaster and maybe a semi-viable deck with it.
Pagle isn't really "useless" now, he's just not as good. He's still an 0/4 card that draws attention to your opponent which usually results in him using some sort of removal to kill it. I do agree though, he's not worth running in competitive control decks anymore, eg Watcher Druid because there are just better cards to play.
I dusted my Pagle because I won't be using him much anymore, especially since i'm going to be playing Handlock more now since control Druids aren't as prevalent in high ranks due to the Tinkmaster nerf.
I'm glad they nerfed him. This card has just a bad gamedesign. A card game is already so rng itself... why design cards, that rely only on rng.
If you're lucky and your opponent can't immediatly deal with it, you have just won the game. And he was almost always worth itself. Not only he has the possibility to draw alot of cards, but also he takes your opponents attention and eventually trades with a removal card.
Pagle was played in 95% of competitive decks and his card draws were a desiding factor in probably 50% of the games.
Yeah I agree. Tinkmaster was a popular legendary, but it didn't fit EVERY deck in hearthstone. The decks that needed tinkmaster were control druids and sometimes control Pallys, other than that you didn't really see him that often. It kinda bugs me that he's useless now but meh what can you do, it's Blizzard. Expect more shananigans like this in the future.

Yup.
Pagle needed the nerf. Tink did not.
