I'm really new at this game (I still have like 3 more heroes to hit Level 10 with) but I enjoy playing it and I've been able to craft some cool plays on my luckier days.
I picked up Imp Master in a random pack a while ago and I like the card. I see some great potential it could have when paired with the right cards, but I can't get over how it kills itself. Is there any way to use this thing effectively?
I know the Shaman has a totem that can counteract the health cost for its effect, and the Warlock has a little Demon thingy that can do the same (if RNG happens to like me at the time) but I'm trying to work Imp Master into a Druid deck and I'm wondering if there are any Druid or Neutral cards that can be used to help me consistently negate Imp Master's Health costs.
And you can heal it with the Priest hero class, and Young Priestess. Then there's a 1-drop 2/1, BattleCry heals for two, a 5-drop I think it was that heals all for two, a 7-drop that gives all other minions on your side +1/+1, really a whole lot of other cards that can be used for healing or effective healing &c. As for wondering if there are Druid or Neutral cards or whatnot to help it, when you go into Deck Builder mode, look upper right corner for "Crafting" or something, I forget what it's called. Pressing that button switches you to Crafting mode. All the cards you don't have will show up in a ghostly color; mouseover or right click (I forget which) to get a closer look at the card, its rarity, and its crafting cost in dust. That way you can take a look at the entire list of cards. There's a feature on the hearthpwn website (this website) in which you can go into a deckbuilder, but hearthpwn requires you to select a class. There's a way to *not* select a class in Hearthstone itself (I think you go to "My Collection" then access crafting mode or something before selecting a class to make a deck, then you can look at the cards for all nine classes in crafting mode).
If you don't know what dust is, that's okay. Ask a few questions.

If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.

._. I already knew all of that. Sorry, not trying to be rude, but I'm legitimately asking is there an effective strategy for consistently keeping Imp Master healthy without relying on having the ability to summon totems.
Forget about Imp Master, take Violet Teacher, then stick Master of Disguise on it. Or use Hogger, same trick. Conceal can help you delay until you can get Master of Disguise out. The trick doesn't work on Imp Master because once Imp Master deals damage to itself, Stealth is broken.
That's about it. You can try to be Paladin and keep sticking Divine Shield on it or try to summon a ton of Taunt creatures, but if your deck depends on token minion generation, a 3-drop 1/4 is going to get rammed pretty hard by targeted spells if nothing else.
Besides, I just gave you a ton of ways to keep Imp Master healthy-ish. It's not like I have a foolproof solution eh.

And here I was, getting my illicit jollies on because I thought you were illegitimately asking for an effective strategy. Ah ha ha. "Hey brah, you know any Imp Masters that maybe fell off the back of a truck?" No offense taken; that thing about looking at the library of cards in the Crafting section was just a general purpose recommendation. I didn't mean to tell you to go off and do all the work yourself or anything like that, sorry if it came off that way (which it could have, I suppose, after going back and reading it.)

Preventing the fact that it kills itself shouldn't be a focus of yours, really. You're paying 3 mana for 5 potential 1/1 tokens and a little extra damage along the way from the imp master herself. In a druid deck I think you're probably better off with Harvest Golem or Earthen Ring Farseer as 3-drops, as there's just not enough synergy in most viable druid decks.
Priests tend to be the best at keeping things alive. They have all sorts of health buffing effects and a built in heal. Of course, if you're focusing on keeping the Imp Master alive, you're not focusing on keeping your other minions alive - so you'd better have some way to make that 1/1 into a credible threat.
