Quite a conundrum i have right now. I just pulled both a golden lay on hands and big game hunter and im lacking 800 dust to craft a tinkmaster. Should i de them? or should i just keep those 2 cards for the aesthetic value? I do play paladin as well, although druid is my main (in case anyone asks if paladin is my main)
Noooes, never D/E a golden card. You will only regret it.
hope you're just trolling, golden cards are useless except for dust.
Having an opinion differing from someone's elses isn't trolling. Don't call someone for that.
Myself, I wouldn't dust golden cards, unless I get a third copy of them OR they got changed and I get extra dust. But, if you don't value golden higher than normal, feel free to dust them. They are a great source of dust. A single golden legendary can result in a completely new deck for you. Especially if it is a golden legendary you never want to play (Millhouse e.g.), don't hesitate to dust and craft another deck. New decks, add new value to your gaming motivation. Motivation leads to games, games lead to wins, wins lead to gold, gold leads to the dark si... I mean more cards.

In my opinion, DE'ing goldens is a very sensible way of getting cards you need. I would feel FAR FAR happier winning games with cards I need rather than losing with 'pretty' cards but missing key components of my deck....
If you have a normal version of those goldens, I say DE them so you can actually be more competitive...
It all comes down to what kind of player you are. If you're an active constructed player, DE. If you're more of a collector, don't DE.
I've been in a similar situation and I had to ask myself, "do I want to cripple my (contructed) play for quite some time?". The answer for myself was easy when I considered it. I don't see myself ever getting most/all of the golden cards, so why would I care if I have any golden cards at all? The game doesn't get any better (or worse) for me if I have 10 golden cards or zero. However, the (constructed) game does get better or worse depending on what cards I have for my decks.
Basically, go for it. It's painful the first few times, but you'll get used to it. The pain of losing again and again is worse... :)
I also figured another use for golden cards(if the bug isn't fixed yet): golden legendary cards can be put in a deck along normal legendary cards. 2 sylvanas, such a pain to play against.
DE all your goldens above common, because I get mad whenever someone has golden-something-rare-or-higher.
@OP
Why don't you create endless threads complaining about BGH and Lay on Hands. Then you can D/E them for a legendary each.
LOL yessss good idea.
Decided not to DE them cos they look too sexy. Decided to buy packs and got van cleef, gold jaxx, leeroy and illidan. Suffice to say i had enough dust; DEed illidan and with excess dust whatnot: crafted cairne and tinkmaster. Now trying to hoard more imps, sergeants and dark irons. Anyone else buying packs in hope of getting the affected cards?
in my opinion, Dust everything below legendary as long as you have a replacement until you have all the cards you need, at which point you can stop dusting goldens because theres no urgency to.
The reason i would dust golden epics is that 400 dust is 1/4th of a legendary by itself. I wouldn't dust a golden legendary just because you only get a golden legendary as roughly 1 in 2000 cards apparantly, which makes it very very rare. Most golden legendaries are crafted by people after they have pretty much an entire collection
I personally dust every golden I get, including a golden milhouse. I'd dust the basic goldens if I could. Useless in my opinion until I have every normal card.
I personally only dust golden cards if I have 2 normal versions. because I dont quite need golden cards. though if its the only copy of that card you have, i'd keep it since it still adds to the "one of everything" achievement which grants you 100 gold, which is nothing since you already have every card :p. and this is only if your an achievement hunter.
and if you are an achievement hunter, you'll want to keep any pirate or murloc golden cards, because if you have at least 1 of each of them, you get a golden parrot and golden murkeye
otherwise theres no real difference between goldens and regular. other than dust cost.

I think the fact that, Golden Pyro's will be worth Golden Legends is disgusting.
Epic - 400 dust
Golden Epic - 1600 dust
Legendary - 1600 dust
Golden Legendary - 3200 dust
So you can get:
2 legends for Golden Sylvanas
2 Epics for Golden Pyroblast
1 legend for Golden Pyroblast
Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.
yeah but how many golden Sylvani are they compared to Golden Pyro's?
^_^
I dunno I got 1 of each.
Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.
I stand corrected... which is amusing. I might just DE my Pyro, make a plain and buy a Legend later :)

Opinion can be stupid :) DE Golden!!!
