The buff is potentially so strong that it puts a bullseye on this card, and it's easy to remove. Most importantly, the card is designed to be used with many minions to be most effective, but the card is especially vulnerable to AOE spells, which are the obvious counter.
Dire Wolf Alpha does essentially the same job for a cheaper price.
Amping the stats to 2/4 (cf. Leokk) for 4 mana would make it a much more interesting card.
I think raid leader is underrated, but it only works in certain decks. It pretty much HAS to have a bunch of low drops and be either shaman or paladin. Otherwise, it will help you win a game faster or it will be worse than a direwolf.
Raid Leader is only super effective when you have a ton of creatures on the board that have stuck for one turn. If that's the case, you're probably way ahead anyway so the Raid Leader just helps you win faster. This can be good against a Mage at 5-6 mana that is waiting to Flamestrike, but other than that, it's not really a game changer. Shattered Sun Cleric can shift the momentum of the early game incredibly well. If Raid Leader was a 2/3 I think it would possibly be playable.
Raid Leader
I have always loved this card I am thinking of it like a Shattered Sun Cleric.
Why Shattered Sun Cleric is Better
The Buff is will stay when she dies.
She is a 3/3
It is a Battlecry (Bounce Decks)
Gives +1 Health so you can keep a Minion so you can efficiently Trade.

2 health is too low, not that good of a card.
