Well I am asking this question because The Argent Commander is loved and is a staple in every deck right now because you can use it as a "spell" to kill a minion and still get a 4/3 after (Charge/ Divine Shield allows this to happen) but think about Elven Archer 1 Cost for a 1/1 and 1 damage when you play it this card can Kill of a Leper Gnome and more 1 drops with 1 heath and if it has 2 just wait til next trade. I can also Enrage minions
Elven archer's battlecry is alright, it's her stats that are underwhelming. doing a damage with no other condition is pretty good for a 1 mana minion, and i feel that if she had 2/1 or 1/2 stats, she would be ran ALOT more often.
It is what it is, the 1 dmg is nice to enrage or against divine shield, probably too situational for most. It could be handy against a Leper Gnome or other 1 drops but I'd rather put another (better) card in my deck when quite a few hero powers can deal with those easily.
Now the more important question, why is this thread not named "Over-looked? Elven Archer"? ;)
Well it's not because I would have to list everyone that has damage on the Battlecry ;) glad you noticed.
