Mage card is barely passable, but the rest, including this one, are so lazy. Surely giving new/budget players cards in the classic set that are even just halfway decent helps them out (due to never rotating out) way more then some hyper-RNG card they will probably just play once or twice and then cut out forever after realising how awful they are

To be honest, while I agree that those 1 mana spells are awful, I don't think that it is hard to imagine situation when they can be useful All Blizzard needs to do to make those viable is either
a)Strong synergies with cards that didn't start in your deck or b)strong synergies with 1 mana spells.
And have no enough better cards that synergise with this effects (for example at the beginning of standard cycle)
Actually, I think that 1 mana spell synergy is very possible in the next or spring expansion. We already have Gazlowe in wild but there are possibilities for much stronger options.
Imagine a card that has a start of game effect: for the rest of the game your 1 mana spells are casted twice. Will you consider playing value warlock with 2 of those and 2 dark possessions? I think you will
Looks like a fun card, and I could definitely see it being included I some fringe decks because of how great ring is sometimes. Being an addition to the classic set, it is designed to be weaker than other cards yet any card with ring aspects can be unexpectedly powerful in the best (or worst) of times. Just imagine on turn ten if you roll Jaraxxus, or Voidlord, or some other powerful demon. Then again, it could very well be turn ten, roll Voidwalker, or some cheap imp. If Blizzard prints more powerful demons in the following years, this only stands to gain.
is because they are filling the spaces that the hall of famed cards let

In rank 20 playing awful gimmick decks.

Waaaa! My classic cards aren't OP enough that the meta will never drastically change expansion by expansion, waaaaaaaa!
