C'thun is a little strong when he comes back, it should be made so C'thun loses his buff when he leaves the battlefield in any kind of way including sap.
But it does give new players a fun/good deck to play and there are endless possibility's.
Considering how consistently C'thun decks seem to crumble to being out-tempo'd (a side effect of playing vanilla minions), I really don't think they're strong enough to warrant a nerf. As much as it seems like the argument "well if you don't like it, then roll X counter deck" seems like a cop-out, the counter decks are already there and they already appear to be pretty solid.
Maybe we should wait and see until there's an actual matured meta before making sweeping calls on game balance? When the meta snapshots read "C'thun still #1" multiple months later we can probably actually identify how strong the archetype has actually ended up, a la Patron. Even then, playing with and against C'thun it doesn't feel anything near the levels of pre-nerf Patron.

The two biggest cards for nerf bat right now is Call of the Wild and Flamewreathed Faceless. It is not likely that even those will see a nerf so how could anything C'Thun related be nerf-worthy?

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
No really, except the 4/2 and the 5/7 all c'thun support minions are really poor tempo plays. If you had tried a c'thun deck yourself, you'd know that. And if you don't draw your c'thun in the first 10 turns you're fucked anyway. c'thun decks are playable, but as far from op as it could be.
Does Blizzard read these threads at all? I sure hope so cause id like to direct something towards them. Put some fucking effort into new cards, not just creating sets that literally revolve around 1 card or countering that one card. Like creativeism isnt rewarded for jack fucking shit in this game. You dont get to play cards that you enjoy playing, you either have to build a deck off the internet, build a C'thun deck or build a deck to counter C'thun. Maybe try reworking the cards already in the game instead of just waiting an entire fucking year to destroy cards rather than rebalance. Blizzard literally has the worst balancing team ive seen in my life. Every single one of their games they wait 800 years before they try to rebalance in which they just completely ruin it entirely. BGH, FON, Warsong, all these cards you could have maybe put more than 5 minutes of though process to do something. If anyone knows of a way to directly send this message to Blizzard where they can read it id be more than happy to send it to them instead of posting on a forum. Ive put plenty of money, time and dedication into hearthstone. The least blizzard could do is actually give a fuck about the direction of the game and do something similar to like magic or something. Release a new set every couple of months or rebalance cards at the end of every month to change the meta consistently. I mean it is a DIGITAL card game, it clearly must be rocket science to buff and nerf cards to add spunk into the game. I could find a group of 90 year old ladies and they could balance this game better than Blizzard can. I really hope blizzard tanks sometime in the short future, then maybe they will pull their heads out of the asses and do something wise like make a fun and balanced game for everyone. Hearthstone had more spunk and originality to it when the base set was the only thing players had access to which is insanely pathetic. I really hope someone makes a new digital card game that has the same style of Magic/Hearthstone and maybe they will actually give a single fuck about keeping the game up and running :). That way maybe blizzard will pull their heads that are stuck 15 feet up their ass and keep the game flavorful.
How, exactly, is the game unbalanced in your opinion? And how exactly would you propose to "balance" it?

Blizzard games are so terrible he has to play them all of the time, and even spend money on them! Those atrocities are unheard of. They're literally WORSE THAN SUPERAIDS.
When asked for cards that are op in their opinion, these people always mention the only cards that make a certain kind of deck playable. Sure, it's possible to nerf a card 2 minutes, but once you start this, you're in a vicious circle of neverending nerfs and buffs. There's always one card that is objectively the best or the worst. You can't always change game mechanics and values as you see fit.

Both those cards are fine.
Except they are not.
If you can't deal with a couple of 3-mana creatures in the late game, your deck might just be bad.

Yeah unfortunately Blizzard games arent free like your mom is. Blizzard is one of the only successful ONLINE card games. Its really not that hard to buff/nerf cards. They should take responsibility that they screw up cards really bad and do something to fix it quicker than once every 500 years. MTG has a ban list implemented for cards that are too strong, Blizzard could easily add a banned list to both formats or just nerf/buff cards frequently. What fun is there in a game when its the same exact shit for a whole year? Its a game based off RNG already for the most part, why would it be so hard to add in the aspect of actually balancing cards, rather then ruin cards after their strengths get exploited for an entire year or longer?

Except... Hearthstone IS free like your mom is, and Blizzard is not one of the only successful online card games - they're a game company. Hearthstone is the name of the game. Nice try, though.

For what it's worth, I switched from here to the game and took out standard C'Thun deck with FaceHunter.
Doesn't always work, but it just did.
Old thread, but C'Thun is a rarity these days. The complain threads for C'Thun died out sometime in May I thought.
Please do not bump up threads and start flaming people.
