So we all know this is an abysmal secret as Noble Sacrifice makes the opponent always attack with the lowest health minion first anyway. However I think I may have found the one case where this card may be useful, however I am not sure if it triggers.
With the advent of the control warrior and using Alexstrasza the burst of 15 damage (ideally) could be swapped to deal 15 damage to the warrior as well with a well placed Eye for an Eye. Otherwise I can't think of a single use for this card. Rogue, Druid and Hunter will all probably just hero power face, and lead to a whooping 1 damage back to their face...
I believe that the secret may have been alright if Nobel Sacrifice were never created, but in this case its just useless. Since secrets will never be active on your turn anymore, the secret should be changed to deal all the damage that opponent dealt on that one turn, rather than a single attack. Also makes sense with the Windfury combos and Shadowstep combos that are becoming more and more common. Hell it would even be useful against an overwhelming zoo warlock.
There's no game element for permanent effects like that. How would it be represented? The best you could do would be grant immunity for the turn, which goes against the flavor of the card.
Well instead of being activated at the end of the turn with a build up of all events, you could have it activate after the first hit, but every subsequent hit would also deliver damage to the opposing hero. Would not be overpowered as the first minion to hit is always the weakest, thus revealing the effect and then the opposing hero can decide if he has enough board control to allow him to go full face and take damage as well, otherwise the paladin essentially stalls a turn. Could be detrimental in the case of a warrior who could have mortal strikes, but otherwise I think it is a good change to an otherwise terrible card.
It's just a useless card, like most of the neutral soulbounds and half of the class cards. Healadins used to combo with Alexa before the (paladin) secret nerf. Now, it's 5 dust.
Personally, I think if they'd just add the text, 'and draw a card' to the text of Eye for an Eye it'd be an okay secret to play with.
But then you would know which secret it was.
Make it so that it draws a card when activated, not played, and you wouldn't.
^this.
Secrets only activate when they're revealed so you wouldn't get the card draw until activated. Perhaps I should have clarified that in my post but I guess I thought that part was understood.

Okay? You're saying that 1 card for 1 mana is okay? That would be the most efficient and reliable card draw in the game. It would practically guarantee that every Paladin runs two.

I do think that's okay. It's the reason I suggested it. :)

The card draw would be when the effect resolves, not when it is first played. This would also help it by making the cycling delayed, preventing too much cycling during your turn.
Actually - a secret that simply says "Secret: At the end of the opponents turn, draw a card" would be amazing. Of course it only triggers once and is gone then.
You could play it to cycle and "cover up" any other secrets you might be playing. Maybe even stall the game for a turn
Would be a good Rogue secret. Call it "Bluff" or something similar. It'd be so popular that it might not be so effective at bluffing, though.

Flare says hi.

Not sure if it's been said but eye for an eye doesn't work with alex anymore.
And now that UtH costs 3, I think you're going to see Flare a lot more often (not that it was rare before).
Also, if one secret draws you card, all of them need to.
Why?
Isn't it obvious? If one gives you a card it isn't exactly secret.

I've seen a game on youtube that ended in a draw becasue of Alexstrasza + Eye for an Eye. Pretty funny.
