Geesh. Does Druid have ANY non fun-crushing decks in Wild anymore? I get that secret mage gets annoying along with a few other decks but when you cue up against Druid its either:
Dew Process which is GG for anything but hyper-fast hand barf decks.
Gadgetzan Druid which means their entire deck is drawn by turn 4/5 and you just sit there and watch them kill you.
I know its wild but my goodness with this. I was hoping for a fix or two so these decks arent so polarizing. As usual, its clear they require about as much thought as blinking. Does anyone else just see this matchup and click Concede? Im rather tired of it. And, please dont quote win rates or other pointless stats. Thats not the issue here. Its these decks that just lock out so many others. I hate to feel like I MUST play Secret Mage or Pirate Rogue but thats all you can against this nonsense.
Just saying. I actually miss good old Guff or even their aggro decks. At least you had a chance!
I watched a streamer play a secret hunter against Turn 6 "I win the game" Druid. It was funny with snipe, pressure plate, zombies.
The Druid conceded after the first secret hit killing a penguin they use to play around Okani/Objection.
Accept that they have no interest in wild at all. A shame, but reality.
Oh yeah - I also have a janky Hunter deck that does do OK against Druid because Hunters secrets counter the whole deck, LOL.
But yeah, I just have to accept that this is how its gonna be. Too bad. With just a few reasonable nerfs/tweaks they could shore up Wild and make it a great mode. Ya know, if they worked on it more they'd probably sell packs & generate more interest in the format.
The lack of response to fixing oppressive decks in wild is a concern. I remember past problems being addressed immediately and cannot understand why the delay to adjust now. Cards like Barnes or the Aviana + Kun combo don’t seem nearly as bad as modern problematic Priest of Druid decks.
I’m guessing the grand wild revamp addresses all of the problematic decks in some interesting way and they’re just sitting until it’s launch.
