This is no salt thread or hate threat. I am just really curious, because in the end it's going to become annoying and I am sure others saw it too. For the last 2 weeks I have been playing on Wild after 2-3 months of standard because I got really bored of the meta, since I was facing the same decks the whole time.
While on ranks over 10 I faced all kind of old decks that are not viable anymore, below 10 it's the same as standard. Maybe even worse. My last 10 matches were only pirate warrior. Only that. There are some aggro shamans too, some egg druids, some N'Zoth priests, but more than 50% of the matches are just them. And also most of them won't even have the wild additions (Death's Bite, Ship's Cannon,Crackle). Yes you are going to say 10 matches won't define the meta, but I am talking about 10 match ups in a row. I've played more than a 100 matches in this season and indeed the majority is what I said. I don't say this because I lose. I win most matches against these aggro decks. But it just became the same story as standard, that people have been addressing in the last 2 months.
Is there a particular reason people are doing this? Do they want to learn new decks but play the standard meta ones? Do they feel they can't do well enough on standard so they bring the same decks on wild? Is it easier to climb on wild? Do you want to practise on wild and then play standard?
Sometimes we get tired of playing against the same pirate garbage in standard casual, so we switch to wild using existing decks. I don't play ranked anymore, it has become so degenerate that the frustration is not worth the golden rewards.

Thanks in advance for any answers.
FOR THE HORDE!

Wild is easier, newer players don't have the cards that rotated to wild -> Newer players play standard decks in wild.
Makes perfect sense.
You're welcome :)

If the Standard decks are winning in Wild, why wouldn't people play them?
It just goes to show how ridiculously OP they are.
