All I've been playing so far is Mage, but I will definitely try to at least be familiar with playing every class
I think its a good idea to get really comfortable with one or two particular classes that you will always pick when you see them. Obviously, you will need to play other classes but it will take a while to master the finer details that can mean the difference between a win and a loss.
I think there are a few classes that seem really strong right now including the Hunter, Paladin, Mage, and Shaman. I think that warlocks and rogues are a little on the weak side, especially for the arena. Thats just my imo from the no beta club tho.
I think I'll probably try play whichever I'm most comfortable with in arena.. planning on trying to be proficient with every hero (except warrior cus garrosh is mean).
Unfortunately 150 gold seems like it's going to be a fair amount to have to get so I'll pick the class I think I'll get the furthest with *cough* druid *cough* because I want to be able to maximise my gold return.
It doesn't look like there are any classes that I wont like playing so it would probably never have to be picking the best of a bad situation.
Probably I´ll play the class that i like more, I feel like there is a good balance right now. but I´ll never play the OP class, I hate winning with the "strongest" class, there is no glory in that. xD (I´m pretty stubborn so, I´ll try to do the best with my fav classes).
For me I'm going to play the classes i like the most... I know for certain it will not be warlock... Don;t like Evil Characters...
The ones I will go for first are Druid, Shaman, Rouge, Mage and Paladin.... so in arena... if one of these pop up I will choose them over warlock or warrior
Also as for the lesser common Heroes I wonder if they will be brought in as characters being able to select from the get go of things...
I'm just going to play around with all of them and keep track of what ones I do well with in the Arena then continue to play those. I may sometimes just pick on a whim or be like "Haven't played that in awhile." and go for it. Want to increase chances of packs and gold so might as well use your best.
When I play, my intended draft order is hunter>shaman>Druid>warlock>everything else. Priest is definitely my last pick because they're so combination based it's hard to use then effectively in arena. I find Hunters to be just plain awesome because they have a ton of removal and the beasts synergize well no matter which ones you pick up. Shamans are my second just because they're cool, and Druid's third because Druid is just good in draft. Warlock is cool too, but everything else is whatever to me.
My personal priority: Shaman/Hunter/Druid>every thing else>Priest/Warrior I never choose priest or warrior, again. They rely to much on card combinations which require a constructed deck to deal enough pressure.
I switch between my three priorities, avoiding all other classes. Whenever priest and warrior combine, I choose the third option, no matter what.

I have to say I really didn't like druid for the longest time. But now it's one of my favorite. I would have to say Druid/Shaman.
I would say Rogue but my hate for them makes me state otherwise ha. Not because I think they're op or anything they're just such a boring class I think.
I just find druid to be the most stable of the lot in arena from drafting to playing it. Like rogue, warlock, hunter i.e you live in fear of someone having enough removal to drop your steam and lose, druid just keeps on chugging and excel at any part of the game depending on your build ofc, I tend to favor the late game as a druid, just make sure to not make it too heavy.

I find it hard to pick a hero before knowing what cards to pick. The difference between heroes could be a game-changer.

I think for nostalgia, I will play all the classes I have played in WoW and go from there.
I usually pick whatever they tell me to pick on the stream =p
I'd pick whatever I was most familiar with. May not help if the cards after the fact are junk though.

Not Grom only Garrosh, Grom's Son as Warrior.
