Every forge game will start with it, so you have to think this through: How will you decide, which hero to pick? You pick a hero based on your constructed deck's need, or maybe you pick a hero that might be a better forge hero than the others (though I doubt there will such inbalances). You pick a hero because you already know it well, or maybe pick one, because you barely played with it. Or you dont care, just pick a random hero.
At first I'm sure I'll pick heroes that I want to use in constructed, but later on, when I have a deck I feel complete, I'll just randomly pick a hero.
I'll probably just pick whichever Hero I feel most comfortable with. That way, I'll give myself the best chance to get the extra boosters on top of the cards from crafting the forge deck.

Considering I'll probably heavily focus on the Forge (more-so than anything else), I think building GOOD DECKS is going to be my personal goal =D My card collection will build up as I buy boosters/win boosters, but I take my Forge very seriously v_v
Or at least I think I will :D
As for Hero selection, it'll depend; I personally think some Heroes are more suited than others to the Forge considering their inherent ability to "reduce randomness" and perhaps their lower potential variance, but I can't really make a blanket statement like this before actually having played o_o
Forge deck sound really fun cause you really don't know what your other cards will be until a choice is presented meaning you have to know your class well. You will be presented 3 cards each time so making a blind deck hoping to see the card you want in the next randomization is gonna be really fun. And you get to keep the cards you pick so thats wonderful :D
Knowing these facts you either have to pick your normal deck class to get more cards for him (cause a forge game will cost you unoppened decks play). Or the class you have most knowledge of the cards that go well for it. By that I mean if you have picked hunter and want to make a beast deck you need to know which beasts or beast support cards you need the most cause you might need to choose between them on the same 3 card choice or you will not know if you will even have a spesific card to pick in a future card choice.
I will probably go with priest for forge, one reason is I will probably have a priest main deck another reason is I know priest cards well. I also think priests are very well for forge cause their hero power can be both a heal and a dmg (if you have Shadowform) which gives you more versatility.
They say you can have epics even legedaries in a forge game but it requires a lot of luck as the cards you choose from are as if you opened a card pack.
Simple way to pick forge class, take Druid if available or just pick random non rogue if theres no Druid. Druid is far and away the best, and rogue may be too synergy dependant compared to the other classes.
I'm just going to pick the class i'm interested in playing at the time, I love the arena just because I get to play with the challenge of working with the randomness i'm given.

This. I expect to try to "master" multiple classes, but I won't be surprised if there are a couple I just don't like at all.
I feel like Rogue/Hunter/Mage/Priest will be the stronger ones in arena since I feel like they can synergize well with many cards. Warrior seems a bit dependent on gear (weapons and such) and Warlocks seem a bit dependent on certain cards (to offset the damage of Life Tap). I'm uncertain about the other classes though.
I'm not sure, myself. I tend to lean towards a Druid for Arena, as they seem to have a bit more flexibility in the mechanics of their minions, like with Druid of the Claw which would serve well in the setting, combined with their hero ability to inflict damage of their own and armor themselves. Warlock I think would be pretty strong as well, especially with their hero power to help with card advantage. Guess we'll find out though.
From the streams I've seen, it seems like Rogue, Shaman, Hunters have had the best luck in the arena. Priests can be quite good as well, but they seem to be more card dependent.
You need a strategy for 7/9 classes because the worst case scenario can always happen. I am hoping with Beta the weaker classes get a buff either by moving rarity of spells or adjustments to be a higher pick in arena.

What are the heroes? Are they the classes?
Yes, Grom Hellscream = Warrior, Uther Lightbringer = Paladin etc.
^^ this. Although, once I have ny constructed, I'll probably out a little thought in to the "random" hero pick.
You can only get neutral and the choosen hero's cards (if you pick warrior, you cant even meet mage, druid etc. cards).

Let me change your mind
Oh thx I didn't know the hero was also a 1 out of 3 choice. Also the epicness of Shadowform eluded me thx for pointing it out.

I plan on picking mage/rogue/druid when I can and avoiding the warlock and probably the paladin unless I feel like trolling myself.
I'm definitely going to just make it up. Except I won't play warrior. Warrior seems 'meh'.

No beta club, so it's mostly speculation.

All I've been playing so far is Mage, but I will definitely try to at least be familiar with playing every class
