I had a horrible run with Control Warlock in the arena, 1-3. I lost heavily to control type and also had a critical miss-play against a hunter. Please see my deck choice in the attachment and please provide some advice to my 3rd loss of the run against a control Priest.
That turn 9 was abysmal. Should have Shadow Bolted his Auchenai. You had a perfectly fine answer and didn't need to tap. Hand size is adequate as is. And even if you do tap there there's absolutely no need to made his excellent trade for him (running your 3/3 into his 3/4, keeping his 3/4 alive and essentially giving it a 2nd attack on his turn for free)
Also turn 12, why save 4 mana? Even if he has a clear his hand is 3 cards plus a bunch of 1/1 rushes. You have a major card advantage and don't need to play around clears, which at the moment, are rare in arena.
That's as far as I got. I suspect the rest of it is just greed / maybe some bad trades or something.
Oh and sure he has better late-game cards than you, but you were more focused on tapping vs. playing the late game cards you did have. So he just ran you over and had better value and ran you out of cards.
You missed out on 2 Violet Wurm and 2 Bonemare. I also wouldn`t have picked The Soularium. People often focus too much on removal and board clears, while both type of cards are great they don`t win games only prevent you from losing. You need those late game powerhouses to close the game.
T5: you have shit to play, so play it! You already have a play for next turn as well! Why lose Tempo by tapping? Just play the taunt and the lizzard.
T7: literally the same situation.
T9: now you try to develop a board rofl ... it left you in a very weak state, you didnt even finish the auchenai. Should have used Shadow Bolt, if you was worried about it, or not trade into it at all. Also he stole your bear turn earlier, you should have seen it coming.
T10>T11: for the love of god why are you keep tapping with cards in your hand? you have stuff to play, play them!
T12: what a waste of a complete board clear, that board was not threatening at all, just develop your own. You would actually have a pretty decent swing turn next turn with Mossy + 7/7 taunt, if he ignored whatever you would put on the board this turn and you are still high enough with hp that you can use your hp as a resource without worrying about being smorced down.
T14: jesus stop tapping.
T15: i feel like Twisting Nether was a bit premature, you reset the board (giving up 3 cards to do it) and dont rly achieve much. You could have killed the 8/3 with Shadow Bolt, play taunt and develop board further. You are near fatigue, you dont have time to keep surviving, how are you gonna win, if you wont take risks by now?
T17: i feel like this was "safe" enough turn to play the 8/8 heal (you should have done that like 7 turns earlier, but hey, this was a good turn for it too).
T18: yup still with no board, trying to recover, but not looking into the future. You need to play to win, not to survive. Not to mention you are running out of cards.
Fatigue is also a real thing, especially for WL, do keep that in mind. And for the love of god, do not tap when you have things to play that make for reasonably good play, you are giving away tempo for nothing!
/edit: and jebaited by necro again, should go to sleep.
