Arena has been boring since the draft changes, because all it has lead to is aggro, aggro, aggro and some more aggro, and you don't get the tools to handle it.
You get swarmed with a gorillion minions, and if you're lucky you draft one Flamestrike or Defile. They really need to increase spell draft again. maybe not as extreme as before, but a middle ground between now and how it was. because right now it's nearly impossible to play a control deck in arena.
Well I have an idea, and it may sound REEEAL CRAZY... but hear me out...
How about you...DRAFT EARLY GAME MINIONS?
I bet you're that one mage player who drafts big minions and 7 flamestrikes, then somehow manages to highroll everytime. This is exactly why blizzard has moved arena away from swing turns and more into minion interactions.
It's a good mix right now. Lots of viable deck types and besides, Blizzard will probably announce the expansion at Blizzcon and itll release in December, so expecting an Arena change seems fruitless.
Did you ever watch a Kripp Video? Aggro isn’t popular on high wins. Yeah rogues are often aggressive decks, but since their hero power, rogue has always been a very strong tempo class in arena.
You can also focus on picking more taunt minions. I think it’s silly asking for changes when you can just adapt.
That’s difference between a good Arena player and a great arena player. Great players adapt to the current meta and know how to properly pick.
Nex thing you talk about flamestrike... this care isn’t that good in arena. You clear the board but it doesn’t give you any tempo advantage. Understand the tempo game in arena. For example I draft pyroblast above blizzard.
It really depends on the deck you're building though. If you have a control deck but lack aoe of course your going to pick blizzard. And a lot of the time flamestrike is good because even though you're not making a tempo play, its still a really strong play because you generate a lot of value by killing a lot of minions with one card.
I think you confuse what aggro means, the meta is by no means aggro, but tempo. That is a big difference. If you just go face, you will lose 90% of your games, cause your opponent WILL have a swing turn on you, if you dont value trade when appropriate.
But yes, there is a lot less spells, thats why it is important to draft minions that can act as "spells", like Rush minions or battlecry buffs etc.
Warlock can get away with a control deck since it has a mixture of great early game minions and really powerful board clears, and is one of the few classes that gets offered them enough of the time, probably because it has about 6 cards that are good of that ilk. Where other classes have one or two.
Anyways, it's curvestone, not aggro, where the person with the better start is likely to win, so it only feels like aggro to you because your opponent had a much better start than you.
People tend not to have the perfect answers, but they are loaded with win more cards.

It can, but it is still hard to draft a good control deck. And it is kinda a waste to do so as well, if you go with a lighter curve, you can utilize your hero power better, than if you have a heavy deck.

Heavy deck and control don't naturally go hand in hand. But anyways, you should know by now that there isn't a specific deck style you have to draft to get to high wins. No, if you go out of your way to draft a certain style of deck it won't work, but things can work out in your favor if you just go with the flow of the draft. I've gotten to 12 wins enough with that style of deck to confirm it's viable and a lot of fun when it works.
Though I'm also someone who will go out of their way to pick the worst class and try to make it work.

Obviously there r plenty of archetypes or gimmick decks that can get you high wins, that is not the point i was trying to make. What i was trying to say way, to get a control deck is not easy, you just might not end up with proper tools or enough of them. It is far safer to draft low curve tempo, especially in WL, if you want to be consistent. But yes, if a draft is leaning in a different dirrection and you are able to spot it, you can try for something a little different.

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
