Amazed at how little control lock is getting mentioned. It is being kept at bay solely by mages ability to forgo lunacy and just burning them out, and paladins highrollint an early game with sword into some yoggs.
If weapons attempt to counter, they’ll just shove two ooze’s in. The control lock deck already has flex spots.
If only Mage and Paladin gets nerfed then Rogue will be very strong, not that it isn't already. That 3 mana auctioneer is just too broken.
Warrior, Warlock, DH and Hunter should also be pretty good.
I don't see much hope for Priest and Shaman this expansion.
Priest is already winning plenty of games. People just play the janky spell or rally versions and fail hard. Running 58% WR at over 150 games with a ctrl priest that has a positive win rate vs mage and paladin. At Diamond 5.
Yeah, I was a bit worried when I saw no planned Warlock nerfs. But if the meta change brings more decks like weapon rogue and face hunter, maybe that'll sort itself out.
It's a tough class to pin down, though. I know Tickatus gets a lot of attention, but to me it's just the synergy and massive amount of removal & healing they have (soul shards are a big part of that). And yet, individually I don't think any of those cards warrant a nerf.
I think the whole soul fragment package needs to be toned down. Either cut the healing down from them, or nerf the actual activators.
Yeah, it's odd to me that the generators don't have any real drawback. Spirit Jailer at 1/3; Soul Shear at 2 mana deal 3 damage; School of Spirits at 3 cost/2 damage AOE. They just didn't seem to value fragment generation at all. Compare that to something like the Invoke mechanic where you're paying 3 mana to deal 3 damage to an undamaged character, for instance (Seal Fate) or 3 mana for a 1 damage AOE (Awaken!). Not exactly apples to apples but I do think toning down those generators would be fair.

If Post tower get nerfed, Hunter and most aggro decks will rise if not Warlock sill stay powerful in top tier.

I don’t see how control lock doesn’t take over.
