What should I spend almost 1500 gold on. I am generating gold; however, I don't want to spend it unwisely on random packs. I assume standard to start. But I bought the welcome bundle and now the new dragon bundle that just came out. I am trying to reduce my spending on the game and just want to generate income in game playing utilizing quests and the 100 gold per day (if I get there).
It's not rocket science. See what deck you want to play and see what cards you need that you don't have and buy packs in hopes you get the cards or enough dust to craft what you are missing. Being that expansions phase out every year you don't have that much of a choice. Being that expansions are about to phase out the smart move would be to buy the latest expac only.
You should prolly get the adventure that is being released in wings but do that with actual money, doing it with gold is not worth it, from there just start saving up for next expansion on April, there are 3 sets rotating to wild so making heavy investments right now seems unwise, specially if you have to invest heavy on rotating cards, which you more than likely would have to do to builds most meta decks, just try to build whatever you can with the stuff you have and then hoard your gold and dust for April so you can start the rotation somewhat strong.
maybe I will wait until april to buy packs. Thanks. I have been playing Ranked and am almost rank 10. I have built a deck I like playing with already and am going to continue playing it.
As for Dusting.
Is it better to dust Wild cards or hold on to them in hopes to play Wild? I'm not sure I will ever play wild. But idk....maybe. I read online a lot of people regret dusting their old cards. I have a few gold legendaries from older expansions that I don't think are very good and will net me 2k+ dust.
it’s not worth it IMO. I tried to come back with this xpac and I’m finding no matter the deck that “should” be good I’m the meta, I’m always countered in the matchup.
Honestly don’t have time to throw game after game at this game to “balance the win rate rng”. Should have stayed quit.

This is where, even beyond hearthstone, I feel like gaming is just dying. Well, a part of gaming. The good part. The purpose. Video games are too be enjoyed. They are supposed to be enjoyed the whole way along. We spend so much time trying to reach some goal, forgetting all the while that we're supposed to be enjoying ourselves along the way.
Having a target to reach isn't a bad thing. I think it is important in some games to have competitive goals. But we mustn't forget the reason we play. To have fun. If you're mentality is just "throw game after game at it" and not "enjoy game after game," then it's just not for you. And that's okay. Not every game is for everyone. And thank goodness for all the variety we have in gaming.
Like others posting here, I would build your gold up until the new Hearthstone year and buy lots of the new packs then. You should be able to build some good decks from that. Be sure to also get your weekly Tavern Brawl packs.
I think the people who recommend waiting until the new hearthstone year, have the best and sane argument. If you dont want to waste the gold that is.
Of course, you could choose to build any tier one deck that would fit your wallet. But you would have to take into consideration what is rotating out and what is staying in.
these two options would be your best choice.
