I’m not sure about Zayle. But I do know for a fact that Whizbang gets updated every expansion (I believe 1 of the older recipes gets replaced by the new one). Since Zayle and Whizbang are basically the same card I would guess the same goes for Zayle but I’m not a 100% sure on that one (maybe zayle always give you decks that are somehow related to these particular sets for flavour?).
Zayle gives you a deck based on one of the villains of EVIL. Because his decks are closely tied to the Rise of Shadows expansion, I would not expect them to be updated.
Whizbang always gives you one of the most recent recipe decks (never the Classic one).

If they get updated, I think it's a good way for F2P users to experiment before crafting first.
