With old expansions mostly being only used in the Wild is there any point in keeping cards if we can just DE and continue in Standard mode? Also is there a way to track what cards to DE moving forward with what is in our collection ? :)
Many people did it, and many people are regretting it now. Dusting old cards is mostly stupid, simply because you can always use them.
Even mediocre cards are sometimes very good: Spawn of Shadows for example: in Wild it is very strong, with the Raza nerf it will get a bit worse, but who knows what happen in the future.
The best thing is: only disenchant cards that you would disenchant even now.
Disenchant only nerfed cards for full dust value.. And then you might open them again, so your collection isn't touched and you have extra dust on you.
This question is asked every day, and the answer is always the same: unless you're absolutely convinced you'll never play wild again, don't DE anything
Easy example about why dusting wild legendaries isn't worth it unless you're absolutely sure you'll never touch the wild format.
1st rotation (2016): You dust all your 64 rotated legendaries and use the dust to craft 16 standard legendaries. 2nd rotation (2017): You dust your the previous 16 legendaries and craft 4 standard legendaries. 3rd rotation (2018): You dust your previous 4 legendaries and craft 1 standard legendary.
There you go, 64 legendaries turned into 1 after 3 years.
I keep wild cards because i like to combine powerfull and famous cards of all eras.
I'm just curious to see how some famous old archetypes can benefit from new sets.
Also, if you're missing any new card you can replace it with a good wild card without sacrifising too much the deck's consistency (which is good if you want to try a deck just for a couple of days).
Of course wild decks aren't refined (most of the time are outdated) so it's waaay easier to climb in this format.
Disenchanting literally every card is dumb. Disenchanting a few cards you'll probably never play is fine, but you still need to be absolutely convinced you will never play that card in a deck again

No.
Most people do this and then they cry how standard is cancer. If they've saved their cards then they could have played wild instead.
Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.

Thanks for the responses guys. In the end it makes sense to keep the cards we collect looking at it logically.
