Blizzard might actually support Wild in the future, and people might be more willing to adopt it as more cards rotate out of Standard. I have played 0 games of Wild, and still have 0 plans to dust any of the cards.
Well, people have been very vocal about their discontent with the game every single expansion that got released since standard started.
In one or 2 more rotations if nothing changes and the Standard keeps being unbalanced like this people might just flock to wild as the game will be more... stable and they have more and more cards to play there and less on Standard.
On wild as time goes you get to play more and more different kinds of dekcs and just have fun.
The "exploration" aspect of hearthstone is still very livid in wild. Each set that comes can combo with the 800+ cards that will be on the Wild, while in standard it's just going to be the same obvious and broken decks over and over.
Wild offers more potential and again, it's more stable since you never run the risk of the game not having anything that can tech or counter a broken strategy (early game taunts against aggro for example)
For those of us who want to craft some GvG or Naxx cards to start playing Wild, does anyone have a solid list on where to start? I mean the legendarys are nice (Dr. Boom etc.) but what would you say the staple common/rares are to start building some semi-competitive Wild decks?
Sludge Belcher, Piloted Shredder, Muster for Battle, Shielded Minibot, Deathlord and Zombie Chow for control decks, Velen's Chosen if you play priest, Flamecannon if you play mage. Mad Scientist, Unstable Portal, Lightbomb, Shieldmaiden, Death's Bite, Antique Healbot, Haunted Creeper are pretty much all the non legendary core cards from Naxx and GvG
There are times I wish I hadn't but there are times I'm glad I did. Standard will be the tournament play type and standard is the more competitive format as well. So it just depends on what you want to play.

I never regretted dusting all my Wild only cards. Got a tonne of dust, and was able to craft decks I will actually use.
